They have to. They're also bound by retail/consumer laws, same as IRL sellers. The problem is just the effort/hassle. My Transformers Prime Season 2 DVDs from Shout Factory came with a cracked case. Normally I'd exchange it, but considering that I'd have to mail it back and then wait for them to mail a replacement -- ceebs! The discs are fine... but it does suck that one corner of the case is cracked.Likewise one of the panels on my Generations Springer doesn't fit in absolutely flush. It's a minor issue, and one that would warrant me exchanging this toy if I'd bought it IRL, but I just cannot be bothered to do it through overseas exchange.
