They have to. They're also bound by retail/consumer laws, same as IRL sellers. The problem is just the effort/hassle. My Transformers Prime Season 2 DVDs from Shout Factory came with a cracked case. Normally I'd exchange it, but considering that I'd have to mail it back and then wait for them to mail a replacement -- ceebs! The discs are fine... but it does suck that one corner of the case is cracked. Likewise one of the panels on my Generations Springer doesn't fit in absolutely flush. It's a minor issue, and one that would warrant me exchanging this toy if I'd bought it IRL, but I just cannot be bothered to do it through overseas exchange.

Gah... this is why I dislike online shopping.
