A bloke on Twitter has suggested that Astrotrain is reminiscent of G2 Starscream's deco, if one takes into account the Sound Pack that came with that figure.

The hue of Orange may be off, but I think it's otherwise a suitable suggestion.

It isn't any worse than those silly "Year of the X" repaints they have been doing.

Well, next CNY is the Monkey.... maybe they got a jump on the Deco, and these are "Painted by Bobo the Chimp"

Nerf... that's the familiar thing that Astrotrain looks like. White, orange and purple.

Still doesn't justify it, so hopefully there is a reason behind these odd colours noted on the box (in the "bio" on the back), because it will be a question by the fans next BotCon.
