KMart Indooroopilly has a few of each of the Netflix wave 2 deluxe (Bumblebee, Elita-1, Red Alert, Wheeljack, I didn't see Impactor but was not looking for him) as of 3pm this afternoon, they also had the voyager from wave 1, I took Megatron, Elita-1 and Bumblebee and cancelled my pre-order I had with HLJ. Very happy!

By the way they were not in the regular Transformers aisle, they were in a rack at the end of an aisle across the regular, it seems like they just added it.

Then I went over to the Kmart at Sunnybank Hills because the website said that they still had stock of the Netflix toys... but when I get there, they tell me that the stock arrived yesterday (Thursday) and was still yet to be broken down and put into the store. They told me to come back on the weekend or next week.

I returned Sunday morning, and they were still out the back "somewhere".

I then dropped by again today, and they STILL haven't gotten to them... four days and they still haven't dealt with their last delivery.

They said that I should ring up next time before coming to the store, but I just don't trust people answering the phone if they aren't familiar with the brand, as they would just guess at something and tell me the wrong info.

I had found Megs, that Seeker, Red, Jacky, and Elita at Cannon Hill Kmart around 9am. I took one Elita, leaving them one left.

Carindale Myer doesn't have Earthrise Wave 2 out yet. I didn't ask if they are in the back, mainly because unlike the Netflix bots they should get a fairly wide release.

Garden City Kmart seem to be stocking the shelves with the Netflix figures today. I saw three stock trolleys with at least 5 figures each. Seem to be at least 3 or 4 of Hotlink and Megatron. At least 3 or 4 of the Deluxe except for just 1 Red Alert and 2 Impactor. Only saw 2 Spoiler packs.

I did the rounds of several Kmart stores after work today, to see what Netflix toys were still there, and for the Deluxe class, no stores had Bumblebee, Elita-1 or Impactor... there were heaps of Wheeljack and Red Alert, so those two are ending up being the shelf-warmers for wave 2.
Still haven't seen the wave 2 Earthrise Deluxe yet either, which other people have been seeing at Kmarts in other Brisbane stores and in other states.

Had to travel about 50k's to track down the full set of Netflix toys, and only just managed it with two of them, as Bumblebee & Impactor are the ones that are disappearing first. Meanwhile, Wheeljack and Red Alert are the shelf-warmers... with Elita-1 disappearing in most stores, but the two stores I was at today had several.
I wouldn't have visited these two stores if it wasn't for sightings posted here, so thankyou to those who use this sightings section to share what you find, to help out others.

Toy mate Robina has heaps of new stock for Christmas across many toy lines. Some of it is imported remainder stock (eg ex TRU branded Marvel Legends exclusives from Infinity Wars, Star Wars Black Series exclusives etc. But what caught my eye was this Cyberverse set which was a Target exclusive. It?s a pricey way to do it but if you wanted to army build Sharkticons (or ?baby sharpies? for the Pit of Judgment set) it might interest some. Stacks of them though so may hit clearance after Christmas (prices of some non-tf items have now gone UP).

I went there to check my mailbox for the latest comic issues (Paulbot got new ones this week, but mine weren't there yet), and EB Games for Maverick (still not in yet, but they said the computer has it ready to be sent to the store any day now), as well as Kmart for the new Cyberverse Deluxe toy... but came home with nothing.

Kmart - No Cyberverse Deluxe at all (was hoping they had the newest one that was found in Sydney today - Thunderhowl). Just like every other Kmart store so far that I've seen Earthrise Deluxe toys, this one just had Airwave left.

Took a while to do these up... but these are from Friday at Garden City.

Target - the most I've seen there for a while. They had one Cyberverse DLX Thunderhowl, which I grabbed, but didn't think to look to see if there were more. The help desk was willing to price match to Kmart (Target is $39, Kmart is $29)... even though it took a while to convince them that they were the same product (Thunderhowl wasn't pictured on either website), they were keen to knock off almost 25% to match Kmart without even calling them up (they must be desperate for money, as I would normally have to jump through hoops to get Target to price-match anything, with them calling up the nearest Kmart to find out that they don't have that exact toy in stock, and refuse to price-match it with any excuse).
Judging by Convoid's photos above, the Botbots packs must have only just gone on sale this week, so were still full-price in my photos.

I think Hasbro Australia must have been the one to lose a bet, as there are a LOT of those Siege Voyagers showing up at each BigW... which must have been a lot of stock sent to Australia a whole year after it was first released globally, probably sitting in an Asian warehouse somewhere collecting dust.


The really annoying thing is that most of these cheap Christmas Siege toys (Deluxe, Voyager, Micromasters), were easily available here, when it would have been nice to get Siege toys that were not released here (like Apeface), or had a limited release here (like Springer, Barricade, Mirage, Impactor).
Getting waves we got here at most stores instead of waves that didn't show up here, or didn't appear at many places here, means a lot of fans here probably won't get to enjoy the benefit of these discounted toys because they already got them at retail here a year ago.
Those Voyager Thundercrackers are going to shelfwarm like crazy, as they were already shelfwarming at places like Toymate (Megatron will probably sell eventually because it is an iconic character and recognisable form to the general public buying a random Transformers toy as a christmas gift).

Sunnybank Kmart today - they must have just got in a new case of Earthrise Deluxes, but was wave 2 (I was hoping wave 3)... but it must have been a revision type of case, as last week they only had a single Airwave, and now have nine figures - 3 Allicons, 4 Airwaves, 2 Arcees.
Either that, or they got in two cases, and eight toys were already bought - 4 Smokescreens, 2 Arcees, 1 Allicon, 1 Airwave.

Also saw a Voyager Snapdragon, which I think was the first one I've seen in a department store (I think I bought mine through EB Games or Amazon).

They are easy to identify. It is Hasbro Mexico stock, with strong adhesive labels that cannot be easily removed. The sticker has been there for awhile too..... more recent stickers usually come off easier. I bought a warpath reissue today, but removing the sticker damaged the backing card :(

Yesterday at Carindale...

Kmart - first time I have been there since it opened.
I'm sure I saw someone post up a photo from here from Saturday, with a few Reissue Soundwaves, but now I can't find the photo or posting anywhere (here or on other sites)... I must be going crazy... but when I got there, the Reissue Optimus from that photo I'm imagining was still sitting there, so I don't know...
Anyways, they had the newest Rescue Bots (Hotshot racecar and Optimus hotrod truck), four reissue minibots (3 Bumblebees and a Swerve), the afore mentioned Reissue Optimus, which didn't have any security stickers or wiring, and wasn't too badly scuffed yet. Also the new Cyberverse 1-step Megatron X (the black redeco).
And one Netflix Leader pack was one of only 2 Netflix toys I could see, and it was torn open.

Target - had an old wave of Cyberverse Ultras... just not as old as the old wave showing up in BigW stores that have Slipstream and Shockwave. This wave in Target has Clobber, Rodimus and Bumblebee, which had only previously appeared at Toyworld.
Also had the Cyberverse 1-step Ratchet (the wave before the black Megatron), which should also have the grey Megatron toy, but must have been bought already. It gives people another chance to get Repugnus though, as that was pretty rare here when it was first released.
(christmas 2020 is certainly looking like Hasbro's clearing out of all its old crap sale)

Perhaps first see if you can find a kmart with the reissue cassettes and do a trade at the store (or refund and purchase at the service counter - just make sure the person at the door sees the item you are bringing into the store first, with proof of payment from the website).

If that fails after a few days of looking (I haven't seen any yet at Carindale or Calamvale this week... and you've already checked Sunnybank and Garden City), then see if anyone here wants to trade or buy it from you.
(if you can get to the gold coast, it sounds like some stores down there have them - or check the store locator on the website for any Brisbane stores that are supposed to have them)

Today...

Calamvale/Sunnybank Hills Kmart - Reissue Soundwave and Optimus, plus... for the first time (for me) the second wave of Minibots, as I saw Gears, but no Warpath. Based on sightings in some other states, this second wave of Minibots is showing up across the country this time (last time it was just in one or two states).
It was also the first time I've seen Earthrise Smokescreen with the rest of the Deluxe wave 2 (usually it is the first to go).
They had some of the Netflix Leader packs with security banding on them, so they were protected from being torn open.
(soooooo many Cyberverse Slipstreams... and to think how difficult it was for me to find and purchase one last year, when it was only a US Target exclusive, and not even a common one over there either - based on the numbers being seen in Kmart stores here, it is quite possible that more Slipstreams ended up here than in America last year)

I did that last week for 3, metro delivery, then the next day the restock of old SS figures sgarted happening at places like stafford, kippa ring. I was dreading getting some bayformers delivered and having to return them, but they too cancelled the whole order.

Sunnybank Kmart... not yet with the Netflix Voyagers, but since they have shown up at every other store near it, they probably will soon.
They did have a new batch of the Netflix Deluxe, which also appear to be showing up at stores again... which is annoying for those of us who ran around desperately looking for them in October, because it was only supposed to be a one-off release here... unlike the new Studio Series 86 toys that are yet to get their full release.
The unusual thing though is that of the 11 Netflix Deluxe toys, there were no Red Alerts, but still 2 Bumblebees sitting there. If the store is getting full cases, they must have had 2 cases, which is 4 each.... with Red Alert and Wheeljack being the shelfwarmers the first time around, I find it odd that all 4 Red Alerts would have been bought first this time (unless this is a revision case, and it doesn't have Red Alert in it).
Still the lone reissue Soundwave, but still no other reissues.

BigW do that all the time with their higher priced collector-focussed items at their June toy sales... and they are either at the customer service/layby desk, or at the Tech counter, and you always have to ask where to find them.

Since Optimus and Soundwave are "higher" priced 1980s collector reissues, they are aimed at the people who would know how to look for them, through the kmart website and through fansites and facebook. And it guarantees that the store has stock if the website says so, unlike the stock put out onto the shelves that is stolen, or dumped somewhere else in the store and lost for a few weeks. (and it is so much easier for people to steal from kmart now, after they all got rid of the customer service desks and registers from the front of the stores - as I've never had my kmart receipt checked against the items in my bags, just as long as there is a big Kmart logo on the receipt... and they don't check the day or time on the receipt, which could allow people to go in with a recent receipt and walk out with the same items all over again)

I would also prefer this kept-off-the-shelf option for preventing damage or theft, as the store isn't damaging the boxes with security string or stickers (which are really tough to get off), and the boxes aren't being damaged by kids being rough with items that are intended to be displayed in or with the packaging.

And if they don't sell after a while, I'm sure they will put them out somewhere more visible, but I doubt that they would still be unsold in a few weeks time, as collectors whom these are aimed at, know how to find them and will buy them soon enough (the Loganholme kmart had 12, and they were all gone in 3 weeks).

Kmart - now this is a normal christmas... the shelves stripped almost bare, with pegs empty and very little stock left to choose from. Which should make it a great store for new stock in the next week, as they should see restocking of most sizes.
Probably the only thing there to note is several Netflix Deluxes, including Red Alert (which I didn't see at other locations recently).

Checked out the BigW in Warwick today.... and was hoping that they would be well stocked with the new toys, as the state distribution warehouse for BigW is in Warwick.
But, no luck. No new Earthrise or Studio Series. I was there fairly early today, and there wasn't a huge crowd, so it looks like they just haven't restocked since Christmas (probably not surprising, as the moment they closed at 6pm on December 24th, there wouldn't have been anyone in the store until this morning on the 26th... and there wouldn't have been a delivery on the way waiting out the back, because the warehouse is just 20 minutes away).

The Target Country store across the road, had a sign up saying that they were closing next month. Target Country stores are only small, and sometimes don't even have a toy section, so I was surprised to see a decent sized one in there... and I think it will be missed by the locals, who now only have BigW dominating their retail sector (and their only real source of toys, as the Toyworld in Warwick had closed recently as well).

Grabbed it, ran it up to self service counter and... "item not found".

Called the attendant over, who then got someone from Toys. It was pretty funny, I could see them both searching on their computer for the item. They actually GOOGLED the item and were looking on Google Image Search.

Eventually, the Toy department guy found a picture of a Studio Series deluxe WWII Hot Rod and decided that looked close enough and found that on the Big W database.

So I only paid $29 for the SS86 Hot Rod.

And at BigW, they have only restocked the Studio Series Leader class, but two waves ago - wave 4 from 2019, which has Shockwave & Scavenger.
Scavenger showed up in Australia with Overload in September 2020 (wave 5 - the only Leader class wave for 2020), but Shockwave has only just been showing up in Australia in December 2020.
With the release of Studio Series Leader class in Australia being unreliable and sporadic (and often years after they were released globally), I'm wondering if we will see wave 6 Grimlock/Wheelie at any of the major retailers during 2021 at all. (probably the most reliable option is if you pre-ordered it from somewhere like Amazon or EB Games, as they are more likely to get the stock if Hasbro has promised it to them)

Back at BigW today, and they haven't had anything new put out since Thursday 31st. Apparently they have the Voyager SS86 toys out the back (16 units), but can't put them out until their regular toy staffer is on Monday to add them to the system.
Even though they have the product range of "Voyager Studio Series" in the system, they don't have the new barcodes of the two new products (Scourge & Hotrod) in the system yet, so if they do sell them now, it won't be reflected on the inventory (people will look on the website and think that there is stock at a store that has already sold out... or the store thinks it is a high theft item and not order more).

(I didn't bother checking Kmart today.)

For those looking for SS86 deluxe's, you can find a stack of them at Big W North Lakes. I did a quick count as I ran past, but didn't go through every box (They have a massive end display of them). Sadly no Voyagers found or on display. This has been up for a few days, still plenty of stock.

Still had 4x SS Overload/Scavenger each on display.

Big W Springfield after previous sightings has nothing, but did have 1x Soundwave Scout pack left after I took one.

Big W Booval had 2x SS86 Hot Rod left when I was there two days ago.

Note: All stores had previous Seige figures in stock, but only Megatron/Thundercracker... And insane amounts of them. Big W Mt Ommaney did have 1x Siege Crosshairs, but its head has fallen off. On closer inspection it looks like the screw is missing from it.

It's a small, fairly quiet store... so I hardly go there, and I'm always expecting it to close down (probably in the next wave of closures). It's in a good spot for traffic and exposure, but the shopping centre just feels run down and low class... there's a lot of empty or temporary stores at the moment.
I used to go there a lot when I was working in the Springwood area about 15 years ago... and bought most of my Armada & Energon toys from there.

The system said there should be about 10 units, but their toy person said he hasn't seen anything new come in in the last week, so would have to delete the stock from their system so that the website doesn't tease anyone else into thinking that they have some.
They still had a heap of the Siege Voyager Megatrons and Thundercrackers, in another aisle... and pretty much the same things as other BigW stores...

Guess another case of SS86 stock not scanning and the system being out. The end display of SS86 deluxes are gone as they are nearly sold out, 11x Blurr and 4x Jazz is all that's left. SS Leader they only have 4x Scavenger.

I have done the rounds of Orion, Garden City, and Carindale repeatedly over the last few weeks and the shelves have remained consistently bare. Startlingly bare in some cases. Target Buranda has only had a few Quints for months with no sign of a restock.

I am less worried about the Deluxe SS86s. Deluxe SS has been common as dirt this year. There is a good chance the Voyagers are done unless Big W and Target get a release. Grimlock will show up in 2024 😀.

I am still curious about the Earthrise Wave 3 that showed up down south by accident before Christmas. That is interesting and probably means Kingdom is after Easter.

Sucks that it seems to have gone up by $20 since I bought it in December. They do ship interstate but scales by distance. So $15 for Tasmania but $12 for Victoria etc

Has anyone actually seen the Kingdom Deluxes yet? I have seen Leader, voyager and core but not a single Deluxe. My local Mr Toys confirmed they didn't receive any deluxe stock. But that was before they put them out for sale.. could have easily sold out before I came back.

Im currently in Dalby recovering from a hiking injury and decided to visit the local Big W. I was surprised to find a bunch of SS86 Blurr, Jazz and Kup. There was also two SS86 Hot Rod and one scourge. I've found scourge so hard to find that I did not hesitate to purchase him immediately. There was also a bunch of siege Megatrons and Thundercrackers, plus a lone Seige Sideswipe and Crosshairs and an earth-rise snapdragon.
Unfortunately nothing in the local target and Toyworld.

Sunnybank Kmart today... no Kingdom or SS86 yet, but they had the re-stocking of Rescue Bots toys that other Kmarts were getting in the last couple of weeks (and the second wave of Cyberverse Battle Call Trooper).

Kmart Kipparing was showing that they had stock of Kingdom so I went back and had another look earlier today.. They stocked the shelves sometime between my visit yesterday and today and someone had already nabbed a few of them. After grabbing a couple for myself this is all that remains (still no sighting of Kingdom Warpath, seems to be the hard to find).

Some weird shenanigans happening with the way Kmart shows their inventory online. What the handheld devices show in-store are different. Australia day arvo I visited Indro, Mt Ommaney and Sunnybank to no avail. Indro and Sunnybank were showing stock online, but the devices showed none, staff physicaly checked out the back. The devices also showed stock at Mt Ommaney, but the website did not, still nothing there and no shelf tags to indicate they?d been and gone. Then they appear and sell out the very next day at Sunnybank hahaha! Love the thrill of the hunt.

Yeah, I was there at 8:30 this morning, there was 1 Optimus Primal there so I snagged him. I went and checked Garden City, Kmart had 2 Primals and a few cores and cyberverse. Target had barely any cyberverse. Big W a few siege battle masters, a few cyberverse and 1 studio series constructicon. Pretty bare.

It's a good thing I'm getting Paleotrex, Primal and Cyclonus from Amazon. Don't rate my chances of finding them in yhe wild considering I'm only really able to go once a week toy hunting and only to Garden City. Had to cancel my Megatron though so hoping I can find him somewhere.
