Trip through Chermside Westfield for Xmas shopping, nothing majorly new but a few bits around:

Zing had Crankcase and Skullgrin.

Kmart had a full case of wave 2 velocitron and a leader scourge.

Target had the earthrise voyagers, mostly Snapdragon and 2 Starscream. Also had the target beasts (like Buzzsaw) and the Kup/cliffjumper/bumblebee BB figures in large supply.

Finally JB hi-fi had leader TM2 Megatron but was out the back, had to ask for it at the counter.

That is really weird - only having those old three, because that is the new plastic-free packaging (the last ones at Aldi were in plastic bubbles), so I would have expected (or hoped) that these being new stock, they would have had the newer ones with them, like Optimus Primal... or even the really new ones, Cheetor and Soundwave.

They also had the new re-release (in new packaging) Rescue Bots Feature Bots Optimus and Bumblebee, in the new generic/plain packaging.

Yes, I saw that at the Sunnybank store on Saturday... which is really surprising, as they only just got them in. I guess their retail windows and turnover are now so short, that they have to sell within a couple weeks or else get cleared out.

Also notice in this photo, the Cyberverse 2-pack combiners, as this was the first time I've seen or heard about the second wave pack in Australia (the Wheeljack/Grimlock pack), a year late.

And over at BigW Garden City on Friday - I saw a SS86 Coronation Starscream, which I don't think had shown up at a retail store yet (I think it had only been at online sources so far).
Meanwhile, the Aqua Pals Bumblebee that showed up on Amazon Australia about a month ago was in a pre-pack display with a lot of other licensed figures... and Bumblebee was also there in small size too (the larger one was what I had seen on Amazon).
The smaller one was $20, while the larger one was $39. (the photo with Masterpiece Blackout is just there to show size of the Aqua Pals)

I popped into Garden City BigW after work, and they had the full wave 1 of Earthspark (except Bumblebee - even though it is on their website product page... and despite Optimus intended to be the limited release Spinchanger).

They also had a lot of the final two Vintage Beast Wars toys, Iguanus and Maximal K9 - both at the same price of $44... which isn't surprising, as the carded figures are classed as the same size-class by Hasbro America no matter what size toy is in the plastic bubble. The price is okay for the vintage K9, but I'd recommend waiting for Iguanus to go on sale or clearance first.


Oh, and for anyone wanting toys without the promo stickers on the packaging, this store didn't have them on any toy (as of today), but they had the bannering adverts, so I guess they didn't yet have anyone free to stick hundreds of stickers onto toys yet.

Yeah, fair point. I haven't seen or heard of Legacy wave 3 deluxes at any of them, and only within the last few weeks have I seen the voyagers (and only at Kmart). Was kinda hoping they'd rush wave 3 in, because all of them have had reduced prices on old stock for over two months now, but now if they did that then maybe they would skip Evolution wave 1. Hmmm, it's a pickle, isn't it?

JBHifi Burleigh Heads Stockland has *some* Evolution wave 1 figures. I picked up Armada Hot shot @ 39.98, and Core class Sludge (@19.98), and there was one more of each. Not sure if they ran out of room to put stock out, or the other figures in the assortment were cleared out. There was also Voyager Lio Convoy for 59 something. I’ll wait until its on sale, if I pick it up at all.

But check your stores, you might be luckier.

Toyworld Toowoomba had some Kingdom stuff on clearance. Leader Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, and Beast Mode Megs were there for $59 each. Paleotrex, Shadow Panther and Waspinator were clearanced for $20 each, and they did have both the Ark and Metroplex, though I didn't check prices on either. They did have a few Motormasters for $179 each, and Leader Rodimus Prime for $89.

They also had $10 off the Buzzworthy Bumblebee 2 pack with Spike and Bumblebee, the one that's basically on a Bumper body. That was down to $25, from 35.

JB Hi-Fi MacArthur has 2x SS44 Buzzworthy Bumblebee Jet Optimus plus lots of wave 5 legacy evolution cores, deluxes and voyagers.

Robina KMart has what I think must be the second wave of the larger Beast Alliance figures paired with a small legion-sized beast partner that turns into a weapon. I’m not sure what the name of this size class is. But wave 1 I found at Toyworld with Optimus and Optimus Primal. At Kmart there was ONLY Optimus, no Optimus primal, and he’d been replaced with Wheeljack/RhinoX 6693.

So I’m not sure whether Kmart only ordered Wave 2, or stocks of Wave 1 ran out?

Also saw that they had legion class Optimus, Bumblebee (Camaro) and Barricade from the previous movie line. Just repackage in new ROTB packaging.

Also saw flex changers, and the Nitro Series toys including Starscream (repaint of Blitzwing - deco looks amazeballs) for $496692, Megatron (no guarantee he’s in the movie), and the new mold of Battletrap 6694

Now that I have, I have added the sighting and prices of the Autobots Unite toys, as they were a first sighting.
I now also see that someone has also posted a sighting on TFW, with photos, showing the small size as $15.
BTW, that Battletrap toy is an orange redeco of the Ironhide toy from the Bumblebee Movie Energon Igniters toyline.

Also, those Beast Weaponizers at Kmart are wave 2, as Wheeljack is wave 2 and it has the wave 1 Optimus Prime re-released with it. The Arcee in the Beast Weaponizers size class was discovered some time after Wheeljack, so it is most likely wave 3.
Kmart also managed to get wave 2 of the mainline Voyagers, which is just Rhinox with a re-release of Optimus Prime... but maybe they got their stock after everyone else and the main Hasbro warehouse had already run out of wave 1 cases of those size classes.

While passing on details about the Myer sale of this weekend I noticed that the ROTB Convertable Masks were listed as available on their website, so I checked out the Carindale Myer on Friday, and they had both on the shelf (along with just about all of the other Movie toys they had listed on their site).
That could be a first sighting for them, as they are both listed for release on June 1st on Amazon... and even though the Bumblebee Mask has been listed on the Target website for a while, I don't know if it has been seen at a store yet.

Main things of note were Target had the NEST Ratchet and Bonecrusher and Big W had about 5 Armada Optimus and plenty of Scourge/Sludge though very lacking in SS Deluxes. JB in Oxley had the Toxitron collection in store yesterday. I didn’t count but they seemed reasonably well-stocked. Only one SS86 Brawn (which I bought), and one of the red Hotshot sets but the box was a bit squished. They didn’t have SS86 Snarl so I went to Garden City JB and they had nothing new on the shelves yet.

The JB at Garden City finally got in their August items, including the Gen2 redecos (all 8 still available), the first four 1986 movie reissues, the Prowl/Ironhide 2-pack, and the Shattered Glass Grimlock.
Fortunately I was there today before any of them had sold out, as ten of those items were ones I had on pre-order, but weren't held for me to collect.

So I had to get those 10 toys off the shelf (the Gen2 redecos, the SG Grimlock and the Prowl/Ironhide pack), and take them to the counter, at which time they found out that 4 other items were actually on hold for me out the back (which I also didn't get notified for)... and then a 15th item was sitting in a bucket of mixed stock behind the counter, which I was able to claim as another pre-ordered item that hadn't been set aside for me.
And that wasn't the only problem... I was at the counter from 2.40pm to 3.40pm, not only to track down the 15 items physically, but also to find them in the system across 5 different orders, with some being fully paid, some being just a deposit, and some having no deposit. And for a while, the system was over-charging the total amount by $17, and the staff couldn't figure out why... so had to cancel 3 of the items, credit them and re-order them.
Which all took an hour to do, partly because the staff member processing my order, had to keep asking for help from other staff to figure things out.
(it was also annoying that so much had been pushed back from the last 3-4 weeks, that it all ended up hitting at once, costing over $900, instead of being spread out over each week in smaller amounts)

Anyways, the other 5 items I picked up that must also be in that store somewhere, but I didn't see them with the rest of the toys - the Hotshot/Jolt pack, the Core 2-pack with Optimus & Bumblebee, SS86 Brawn and SS-102 ROTB Optimus in Buzzworthy packaging.

On Friday (SEPT 1st) the JB at Garden City actually had out the first six 1986 Movie reissues. This store is always so slow to receive new stuff, I did not expect to find Perceptor and Kickback, as their release was only just being found that week in other stores.

But true to form, my pre-order for Kickback was not flagged, so I had to grab one from the shelf and take it to the counter.

Kmart Garden City had the new ROTB Beast Mode Bumblebee toy, as did BigW (who only had Beast Mode Optimus for their June sale, but now have both in-stock).

Other than that, Kmart, BigW and Target had nothing new for Earthspark, ROTB, Legacy or Studio Series.

I was thrilled to be able to pick up Kickback, and even more delighted when I opened him up to find SIX energon cubes rather than the single one shown on the box. Now this is a strange Chinese KO of Starscream. Energon Starscream styling, G1 colours, but oversized, and reminds me a little of Authentics size and transformation complexity. Gives trademark and patent number which are bogus, and clear attempt to ‘look’ legitimate. With original head and sculpt would be a really great toy, but I dislike infringing IP. Bought it though and very fun to play. We need competition in Transforming robots, like the Gobots we’re in the 80’s. I don’t know why they don’t just do original characters though.

Target for some reason had like 6 ss86 ironhides (now 5 since i grabbed one), along with some blokees cogged bot mode b-127, orion pax, and d-16. Myer had absolutely nothing, not suprised since on their website they didnt have any stock around brisbane.
