Menasor is such a piece of shit to pose. Floppy hips, shithouse mounting posts for Blackjack, crappy shoulder articulation. Superion on the other hand is a joy to play with. :)

^Agreed. Blackjack totally makes it worse too. I can totally understand why TakaraTOMY have chosen to omit Blackjack (or Runabout as they're calling him) from their Menasor gift set (although JP fans can still get him separately). I personally think Menasor looks better without Blackjack, as his "default" chest already resembles G1 Motormaster's Roller car anyway. Being narrower also means it's not obstructing the upper arms all the time. :rolleyes: I only attach Blackjack when the toy is on display, but I remove him whenever I play with Menasor.

Made of CW Voyager Silverbolt, CW Deluxe Offroad, AoE Deluxe Lockdown, Drift and Concept Camaro Bumblebee. The only blu tack was on Bumblebees head to keep it in his combiner port. Lockdown's Head fit fine in his port as long as the black flap was horizontal, and I used Offroad's axe to connect Drift to his combiner port.

I give you... Superior Extinction!

I can work on the name :p

saw that twitter picture of the takara superion and thought i might try a couple of poses with my own. i haven't really tried much since i got them, in fact they've hardly been in combined mode at all.

it can be a bit fiddly trying to get him stable and not falling over. to be honest though compared to the old G1 versions it's fantastic you can do anything at all apart from the sort of static standing pose so i'm happy with that.

not sure about alpha bravo's robot arms, i think they look sleeker tucked in like the top photo but i think in that configuration they get in the way. i might just have the combiner arms/elbows around the wrong way or something anyway, not sure!

menasor doesn't seem anywhere near as stable as superion, but i think i may just have a crappy motormaster. he really needed the extra grip/resistance from the placemat.

I agree; it's a flaw in the Motormaster design that makes him an unstable gestalt core.

i'm a bit disappointed about it, he literally cannot stand up straight on his own, he leans to the side one way or the other or is too unstable somewhere that the hips just give way and he does the splits. not sure if he's just a little floppier than others or just plain crap :(

Picked up Streetwise and Rook today. At least now Optimus has got a full set of Limbs until some of the other classic repaints get released later on. Borrowed the perfect effect feet I was using on Superion. Might have to pick up another set now.

I put Rooks backpack into his robot mode postion then just angled the arms backwards to rest against it. This way he doesn't hang out too far in comparison to alphabravo.

I have been a huge fan of Makotron's art since about 15 years ago when I discovered online fandom. And this Constructicon group shot is my favorite. Too bad I don't have the set-up and photo shooting skills to do this justice (Scrapper not having elbow and Hook not having bicep swivel didn't help either).:p

I've been dabbling in a few different things over the last few weeks in the very little spare time I've had, but I came across some ark, nemesis and teletraan-1 papercraft templates (http://forums.tformers.com/talk/topic/91920-teletraan-i-ark-nemesis-display-panels/) so I've started putting them together for my displays. They used a lot of ink, but were worth it. The scale unfortunately is limited to my a4 printer so Teletraan-1 is a bit smaller than I would've liked.

I'm still yet to print the ark plates, as soon as I do I will post pics.

I've also been painting the inside of CW Ultra Magnus' chest because it was, well, so white. I'm also going to add more paint apps to Minimus Ambus for the same reason to make him more comic accurate. That is a job for next week. In the meantime, here's what I've done so far (screens are reprolabels obviously).

Did you print Teletraan 1 in A4 or A3?

I started to make one in A3. Had a hell of a time with the paper ripping or not holding shape. I built a frame for it but I need to print it on thicker paper or card to get it to sit right.

I used A4 as that's all my little printer can handle. I would definitely recommend using thick card to print on though. I didn't have any problems with ripping, only some curling from going around the printer rollers on the larger panels of Teletraan 1. I think I might cut some balsa strips and glue them on the insides of the back and sides, especially at the base to straighten the card. I could only imagine the problem would be worse on an A3 version so definitely glue some balsa reinforcements before you connect them all together.

in the mean time I picked up some not Tamashii effects from the eBays.

VERY NICE! That should provide enough support. Regarding the inside of Magnus, I used a very small brush and a lot of patience LOL. I am currently adding some paint apps to Minimus Ambus and recently purchased a magnifying glass contraption that has worked really well for getting those fine details without any overpaint or bleeding. I wish I had it for the inside of Magnus' chest though. You will also notice I used reprolabels for the screens. Once I've finished it all I'll do a photoshoot and put up some more pics.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Teletraan 1 completed and how the A3 version scales with MP's.

I personally prefer the TFPRiD Vehicon mould over the First Edition one. Although the FE Vehicon has the most show-accurate gun (which isn't compatible with the others), but I actually prefer the TFPRiD Vehicon's rifle.

Then I double checked.

One Hasbro PRiD, three Takara Arms Micron, one Takara Transformers Adventure and two Club exclusives.

At least for the deluxe PRiD mould and variations.

Ps Gok, I like the use of the Legends size Vehicons in the background to simulate distance.

Finally got around to transforming my MP Autobots back into bot mode. They seem to fit better when they're not dynamically posed, which is good because it means there is room for Omnigonix Spinout and X-Transbots Arkose when they finally drop into my BBTS POL. (Sorry for picture quality).
