No one deserves to work with a crap supervisor. I had one once that was so afraid I was going to take his position (even though I had no intention) he tried to sabotage everything I did, told me that everything I did was wrong even though the head manager taught me how to do it. Even the head manager hated him and now she's been promoted and moved interstate. He still works there though to this day because he's been in the industry all his life and because if he got fired he'd become a useless sack of sh!t
I am 90% out of my current job. The pressure is affecting my health & I am doing the job of 3 people currently. I am the top dog in what I do & I had a interview yesterday for state sales manager at a rival organisation.
I hope I get it because it is more money but I will have staff to mentor & manage. I have already been told that if I get the position some staff will have to be replaced. Could I go in & axe heads? Guys with families to support? That would be tough to do.
I could hold a gun to my current employers head for more money I suppose but leaving & letting my 90 day no compete clause expire would give me just enough time to settle into a new job & my current employer completely screw my accounts. That would leave them in breach of supply contract & allow me to swoop in on several million in business.
Word of advice for those who are considering buying a Trek bike in future - They're great bikes but if anything goes wrong and a new part has to be ordered, you'll be waiting months for the replacement (currently been waiting 2.5 months for my replacement front forks, was told it can take up to *gasp* 6 months!!).
One store explained that they never make spare parts and to make just one for a replacement would cost them mega bucks. So they wait until their next big run and then make yours...However long that takes.
So I handed in my resignation today, only to get it rejected as they thought I was being rash. Now I have to write another letter showing I am not rash at all.
How can a company reject a resignation letter? You've handed it in, isn't it a fortnight notice you have to give? Just don't rock up after a fortnight.
~
Wait, what? How does that even work?
If you still have your original letter, can get some sort of confirmation you submitted it, and it's not going to get you in trouble to do so, I'd just leave it as you have and just stop coming into work after the requisite time like Dkaris says. If they really kick up a fuss - or better yet try to get you in the **** by withholding pay etc - you could get a pretty sweet payout (if you think it's worth the hassle that is).
I agree with what everyone has said Zippo, what the hell do they think you are? - A F****** Yo-Yo?
Personally, I don't see how anyone could be rash if they handed in their Resignation, the fact that someone is resigning clearly shows they have thought about it!
I get the feeling dude these mongrels are going to do their very best to absolutely F*** your life around as much as possible - I know one's not supposed to promote violence but damn...
