Now, the omnibus format used for these, if it follows their other general ones, is smaller in size than their regular stuff, and may not include all the extras like concept art etc

I just found (unpacked) and checked my copy of the Beast Wars Omnibus and the sketches are not included. It's just the four issues of each of the three series.

Looks like you'd need the original trade collection.
