No I haven't received anything which is why I asked them if there is a 2nd shipment. Hopefully I haven't been forgotten about:(
When did you get your notice?

Anyone got a delivery notice for mp-22 yet? I saw an unboxing video a week ago and it had one from pc in there, thought they must of got them in.I've got mine already as well. I'm not sure if I was in the first or second batch though, dont even know if there was a second batch or not tbh.
If it helps I ordered mine on 02/10/2015 and I got my shipping notice 7 March and got it 9 March.
Send PC a message through their website, I'm sure they'll get back to you asap :)

If it's like Hot Rod and Ironhide, they get two batches, with the first sent over by air and the second by sea (which is going to be slow).
I think they said if you order within the first 48 or so hours after they list an item, it's guaranteed to be in the first batch.

I believe that's more to do with an early bird offer but I could be wrong. Was there a early bird with Magnus?
But like always I'll be patient and wait for them to confirm what I probably already know.

I got a reply from PC saying that they're still waiting for about 2/3 of their Magnus shipment, the remainder of which is being sent by sea freight.

Oh I'm not worried it's just pc usually put up an update somewhere of some description and I never saw one, started to get a bit curious that's all.

Regarding that, let me first say hello and that I would like to make an inquiry regarding this matter on behalf of Maketoys.
Does anyone know anything about PremiumCollectibles, who runs the site and so on? would anyone say they seem like a shady or suspicious service at all?
Because dramatically undercutting the rrp of an expensive product strikes me as odd.. and a little suspect. I've been buying Maketoys products for many years now and I happily pay their full prices because they literally make the best transformers on the market which are worth every single cent they sell for and then some.
Currently Pandinus is 390-400US (around 512 aus right now) rrp form basically every other seller on the market besides PC, as was the price of their previous citybot Utopia (which I own, and is still my favorite figure). This is a completely normal and standard for this product line.
So while this is merely speculation, I have to wonder if PC is getting their Pandinus' from a reputable source approved by Maketoys, the vastly undercut price seems to indicate this is to be in question.
If anyone can provide any further information regarding this could you please send me a private message, thankyou.

This is not really an appropriate way to go about evaluating a dealer who does a lot of business here, especially wanting to do it privately/secretly... especially when there is a lengthy feedback topic to read through to get an objective impression than just one person's subjective opinions.
If you have questions about their supply or pricing policies, ask them... as they would be the only ones who would know - anyone else would not be able to give trustworthy details. If the business doesn't want to answer your questions, then there is nothing else you can do to find out.
If you don't trust them, don't use them. If they prove to be unreliable, it would surface in the feedback topic, and people here would be publicly discouraging their usage (like they have done about other dealers in the past).

Hi LazyAza, welcome to OzFormers. I recognise your name from the Third Party section on TFW2005, where PC are a site sponsor.
There is the Premiumcollectables (PC) (Australia) feedback (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=21536) thread which you can read to gauge their integrity. They convincingly won the OzFormers 'Best Retailer' for 2015 if you want the short story.
Maketoys' Cupolla was sold for $110 AUD + shipping by another online store in Brisbane by their currently listed Australian distributor, and those orders were honored...

Does anyone know anything about PremiumCollectibles, who runs the site and so on? would anyone say they seem like a shady or suspicious service at all?All the information you could possibly ask for can be found on PC's "About Us" page: http://www.premiumcollectables.com.au/pages/about-us
They've listed their physical location and ABN and if you do an ABN lookup (which I will add has been provided on the "About Us" page" you can find even more personal info about the owner.
I for one have never found anything shady about PC, nothing I have bought from them has been a knock off, factory second or otherwise sub par item, and I've bought from them nearly every MP transformer they have offered.
I'm not one to be fooled and did several of my own "tests" as it were, same as when I buy from any new store, and PremiumCollectibles passed every one with flying colours.
If they hadn't I wouldnt still be giving them money on a regular basis.
Regarding free shipping, PC uses a service called www.transdirect.com.au which compares multiple courier options and allows them to use the cheapest one for all circumstances. They also get bulk shipping rates by sending out lots of stock at the same time.
Instead of wondering why they are so cheap, maybe you should be wondering why the other stores you shop at are so much more expensive?
PremiumCollectibles does extra legwork, contacts multiple legitimate sources of toys and collectibles, orders and ships items in bulk, all so they can afford to offer these items at lower prices and be a serious competitor for our Aussie dollars.
That's what info I have to share and my two cents on the matter, hope this helps ease any concerns you may have about PremiumCollectibles :)

Nope Tony's price is 30US dollar deposit plus an additional 360US. His full listing cost is 390US, the standard rrp of the figure. I asked him about this last week and confirmed it.

I'm an esablished reviewer and a long time MT fan and 3p figure collector (here's my youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheLazyAza), I post a lot on the tfw boards and speak with a maketoys rep directly on facebook all the time. Today he asked me to look in to this matter as best I can since I am a well known member of the tf community and an aussie so he thought it would be good for me to see what I can find out on the aus side of things, hence my asking of any info here if someone can provide it.
I've helped with design elements of some of their products in the past among doing other things for them. I've been informed by maketoys that PC's behavior regarding the listing of Pandinus has been brought in to question as it has not been officially approved by Maketoys and PC's seller is significantly undercutting every other seller on the market. They would like to know what is going on as finding out is obviously very difficult. The rrp of the figure should be no less than 390US as it is at the vast majority of sellers.
Their is no logical reason at all why an aus seller would list it for vastly less at this point in time.
I haven't reached out to PC as MT's rep already has, he wasn't able to get the information they required so I'm helping spread the word to see if anyone knows anything. I doubt my posts here will get any results but I figured it was worth a try.

Given that you are asking for information, can you detail what relationship you have with Maketoys?
Are you being paid for this information gathering, or are you just being a concerned citizen?
After all, it "strikes me as odd.. and a little suspect" that someone is coming on-board to ask for such information, when contacting the retailer in question would prove more fruitful.

And why are you asking us? Did you think we're running a PremiumCollectibles Illuminati to undercut the Transformers market?
EDIT: No logical reason why a seller would list it for a vastly smaller price? Are you serious? This is a common retailer strategy. You know how Coles and Woolies sells baked chickens for around $10? They're making a fair loss on each one but the point of doing it is they make it up in other ways. You stay in the store and buy other goods that they make money on which leads to you being a repeat customer.
This is utterly incredulous that you couldn't think of that. Not everything has to be done with a direct profit in mind.

Yes, the Recommended Retail Price is $390, and PC is selling it for $360
Retailers are allowed to dictate how much they can sell an item for once they have purchased it from the manufacturer. RRP vs Cost Price.
I fail to see why this is even an issue.

I don't anyone here would know, and man, they have good track record for being great to customers. Competition is good. Be on the consumer side. These things are dear enough. Other parties should step up to PC instead of trying to neg them. If PC can afford to sell the product at the listed price then good on them for helping us.

PC were recently unsuccessful in negotiations with Maketoys and stated in this very thread that they were exploring other avenues. Looks like they found one.
It's reasonably obvious what's going on and it's Maketoys decision what to do about it.

I don't see what PC could possibly gain by basically shaving 30%+ off a products price that isn't even released yet, 5-10% would make sense but the amount removed in this case makes no sense in my opinion. This is not at all like comparing food retailers selling fruit.
These products have established rrp's at their initial listing, that changes over time yes but not to this kind of extreme when they have literally just hit the market.
Like I said, I just wanted to know what the reputation of the seller was like and if they have conducted any suspicious sales in the past, this instance strikes me as quite suspicious and as I was personally asked I decided to look for info where I could. This is the aus board yeah? so surely people who have bought from them would know what their business is like.
It sounds like they're generally fine so I have no personal issues with them myself. I'm just helping a friend out and seeing if their is anything to raise an eyebrow over.
The whole matter could literally just be an error on the part of PC and they may address the matter shortly, I bare no ill will. Just trying to find out what's up.

Totally agree with you on both counts.
What kind of "concerned citizen" makes inquiries about products being too cheap. Answer is he's not just a concerned citizen.
And the RRP is after all...only recommended.
As far as i can see it's just their business strategy to sell at cost or make a slight loss on some of their products. It creates a name for themselves which evidently seems to have worked, it provides incentives to buy more (points scheme) and it denies other stores the sale.

PC's price is shaving nowhere near 30% off the RRP
$512 vs $470 is a difference of $42 or 8.2%, well within your 5-10% range

No, I think you are confusing it with that OTHER Australian retailer that is shady and disreputable..... the one that Shall Not Be Named. Nope, I've never received any MT products for free, I purchase everything they make with my hard earned money the same as everyone else. The work I've done for them isn't anything I get paid for, just my personal way of showing affection for everything they do and on occasion they've taken it seriously and have altered small parts of a small number of their products as a result. I'm one of those active feedback providers, I do a lot of digital photo manipulation and so on.
I've also assisted companies like MMC and FansProject with similar feedback material. Just a passionate fan I am of these companies so its only natural I have tremendous respect for all of them.
I do care about good deals and whatnot, if I could get Pan super cheap that'd be awesome but I want him right now and I know that's not possible. I'm a many year long fan of MT though so I happily pay their standard rrp pricing because I like everything they make a whole lot. You need only watch my reviews or read my facebook page or my tfw posts to see how genuinely enthusiastic I am to all that they do.
I've actually been complaining quite a bit past couple weeks how its kind of a bummer pandinus is hitting when he is as I've had to shelve many of my other purchases in order to pick him up asap. I wish he'd been delayed a bit longer but them's the breaks.
Feel free to believe whatever you want to though, I think I have plenty of evidence that easily proves where I'm coming from but I"m well aware many people assume all reviewers are in 3p's pockets so whatever.

I don't see what PC could possibly gain by basically shaving 30%+ off a products price that isn't even released yetCustomer loyalty, repeat customers, trying to show certain third party companies that they are the best store to move their product, should I go on? Though as someone else pointed out, it's only about 8% off, but we'll run with the theory that it's 30% off and move on to the next point.
These products have established rrp's at their initial listingKey word, recommended retail price, the final say of what price the store sells it at is theirs unless they have a contract to sell at a set price, which as far as I know they do not as they are dealing with an international maketoys supplier rather then maketoys directly (see below)
we aren't, this will be one off from one of our international partners who we have a good relationship with. we have always kept relationships with several suppliers in case something unforseen happens, so it does not impact supply to the customers
As others have said, if you have legitimate questions and are asking on maketoys behalf contact PC directly, I'm sure they can clear up any misconceptions you have.

Okie dokie, seems I made a misjudgement. My mistake guys. My sincerest apologies to all, this seems to have merely been a severe misunderstanding on my part of which I am deeply sorry for.
Thankyou for clearing things up for me. This isn't my field of specialty (obviously) so I eh I made some stupid comments I guess. My deepest apologies to PC and everyone else here. Sorry for the disturbance.
I wish you all the best, and don't worry I have no real interest in posting here often so eh probably won't bother you again anytime soon.

Straight talk:
People don't trust Maketoys' local distributor
People want PC to stock Maketoys products
Maketoys, for some reason, won't sell direct to PC
This has annoyed a lot of people
Also:
Casting shade on PC on PC's own thread is not cool. Poor form.
Involving customers in disagreements like this is not cool
This whole thing is silly, just sell your stock to companies who want to buy it & make your money
The first point up top should be ringing alarm bells and klaxons at Maketoys HQ. We wonder why it's not.
Pass that back to Maketoys. We're all sick of this already.

Given it was HQ that sent an "unpaid" fan to do half-assed private d!ck work, that pretty much tells you what level of management competency MakeToys has in their stable...

Well considering it's only $10more than buying the separate figures at retail ($20 for a legend, 4x$30 for the limbs and $50 for the voyager torso making $190 in total) it's not too out of the question for those happy to pay retail prices, when you've got things like he platinum sets going for crazy money.
Still, very happy to get my shipping notification from PC yesterday for both Menasor and Superion, even happier with the price. Bring on Victorion and Computron, and preorders for G2 Bruticus

Would you mind listing the facebook groups? those people must be crazy to be happy to pay 199 xDI know what you mean, I for one think it's ridiculous that a voyager class figure is AU$50 here when in the states it's US$25, because no matter how you look at it US$25 does not equal AU$50 (it's like $35 or so).
Sad that PC aren't going to reorder any more of the G2 sets, but I wasn't really a fan of them anyway, but if they get reduced to under $80 I might bite.

Gotta say I have no sympathy for anyone complaining about missing the boat on the PC pre-order or complaining about having to pay $199.
PC had it available for such a long period of time that if you wanted it and didn't pre-order, well you rolled the dice and lost in the short term. Sure some people will say they didn't have the funds to spend that much on a pre-order but they were available until very recently and it was clear based upon other box sets that they were going to be around the $200 mark.
Guess people can wait and hope they shelf warm and go for $100-$150 in the future.

Honestly for me these G2 sets are meh, I'll buy them if ridiculously cheap but otherwise I dont care in the slightest if I dont have them as I have the G1 based bots and they are great.
Speaking about combiner wars, any news on whether or not PC will be getting that deluxe Groove we're hearing about, I'll buy that from them like now if they put it up for preorder :D

Hi, Guys and Gals,
just a heads up when this pre order goes up,
it will be our first OTCA special , A code will be listed here
and for your order to be valid you must place your otca username in the notes on our order page, failure will result in a refund and order cancellation, As many of you see, our pricing is lower than many others in the industry and as such we cannot have abuse of these type of offers. We hope everyone will comply and we can do this with more product in future
MP-27- please email cservice@premiumcollect.com.au for any order questions
alot of speculation on here we are sitting on a nest of a these and not shipping out. this is not the case, all of our first batch were sent. our second lot are due withint the next 10 days .
To ensure your item is one of the first to go out when a pre order comes in,
24hrs from listing is the safest bet. To speak plainly, this product was ordered 242 times, and our first batch contained 150 units which we got out in the same week they came.
mp-32 offer will go up next week,
we think it is best to give a little notice and to do the offer after easter to keep in line with other stores in asia who will likely open PO next week also
so are we still having a code for OTCA members before this goes live?

BBTS' Delta Magnus came in at US$190, with the price remaining unchanged, while Hobby Link Japan has him for 14,400 JPY (~AU$168).
In Japan, Primal is set to retail at 12,000 JPY (~AU$140) and Japanese sites give discounts of up to 30% off RRP; compare this to the US$120 charged by the US stores.

So with the OTCA discount, this is coming in about $50 AUD less than the only other pre-order available for comparison (BBTS), the free shipping is just bonus.
Once again, my hat goes off to PC for continuing to build customer loyalty.

Oh I do... at last count I've ordered MP figures from 12+ different vendors/retailers in the past 12 months. But the un-ambiguouty of pricing due to currency fluctuations, loyalty points, and free shipping just make it an obvious choice for me.
On this particular figure the pricing may be on-par with what others will offer eventually, but PC has earned my loyalty from other prices before now.
On the downside - full pre-payment, but I feel that's a reasonable price to pay for what has consistently been better pricing.

Hi Guys.Gals
We have presold groove deluxe at this time,
we are going to leave numbers as they are as once again it seems other australian retailers have gone to mummy and daddy and complained that we are offering this product.
I fear this may become more regular now we seem to have a large base and offer a range in Hasbro Products others can't.
We are working on something to workaround this, and will still persist with hasbro at this stage. Some offers will be offline only so please keep checking feeds

Re: Fort Max, specifically Hasbro vs. TT releases
The Chosen Prime (accidentally) put up a pre-order for the Hasbro Fort Max over the weekend at $149 USD (so $200 AUD). Since pulled down, but all indications are that pricing was real.
TF Source today has a pre-order up for TT Fort TMax at $229 USD ($300 AUD).
So... we're roughly looking at a difference of $100 AUD between the two versions by US vendors. It's very early though and the shops could just be making up prices at this point, and TT releases are always more expensive in the US.
So let's see what PC is able to offer TT Fort Max for today... with the knowledge that Hasbro release will probably be $80-100 cheaper whenever it gets released.

A thought, I'm guessing the reason you have to do as Hasbro Aus. says because you are based in Australia, could you not make your head office be "officially" somewhere overseas and your actual location your "distribution center", would that get around it? Just an idea, shrug.

Gods but some retailers are pathetic, how about instead of complaining and trying to drive someone out of business they, oh I don't know, stock all the damn products at a competitive price?
I suspect it's probably a little more complicated than that. If Hasbro Australia has contractual relationships with some of these retailers, they may be forced to sell at a set MSRP or range there abouts. Similarly there may be minimum stocks that the contract requires. So if I'm a retailer that's being told by Hasbro that you have to stock X quantity, and you have to sell for Y... and another retailer is free to sell at a different price based on a different supply chain...
That's all just conjecture of course, based on my own past experiences, but it's really Hasbro *international's* problem to sort out.
Regardless, keep up the good work PC, and thanks for offering all the goodies that others refuse to or wont supply without marking the price up 200%
Again, they've bought my loyalty through good customer service and prices... so yes, please keep it up.

Hasbro AU, are ok with us again using the image,
we also covered some other things in the Australia Space
and we look forward to working more closely with AU Hasbro,
as we may now how have reached understanding just how
many Hasbro Related Products we sell compared to other local sellers.
The only ammo we have in these discussion is you guys, the customers,
who buy your TF gear from us, it is the only leg we have to stand on when justifying to a large corporation why we are good fit for each other,
We are in the process of hiring customer service and order packers, to be more efficient, so please keep supporting us so I can pay these people to send your stuff.
anyways, the fun is not over, more takara stuff going up soon, all general release though no ltd editions so I know from our sales last 48 hours, many of you have gone pretty hard. So no need to rush. however with maximus we may need to stop orders at a certain point due to the immense size and weight . but as of now we dont have any plans to restrict sale

Now to decide if I want to pay $80 more for a sword or use the savings I'd get from the Hasbro release for something else instead...

I've read (possibly unsubstantiated rumours) that there's a voice box gimmick as well... so really depends on whether you want your Maxy speaking Japanese or English

I usually go Takara, but at a 50% premium I don't think it's worth it in this case -- at least for me.

Mine is doing the same thing and I haven't got it to work yet. It says "Inventory Issues".

try removing it from your cart, re-adding it and going to checkout again. I don't think it's out yet, I think they're just having tech issues.

I'm really glad I waited it out for Takara's Computron! It looks so much nicer!

Energon point redemption codes don't expire, so just hang onto the code till your next purchase.

Well that's a seriously good price. Not cancelling my Takara order for him (still think that was worth it to me) but definitely a good effort

I ordered mine without a problem and just checked again and can add to cart and go to checkout fine, so just try emptying your cart, logging out, then log back in and try to buy it, should go through fine

Worse case you re-sell it or part out the individual 'bots so others can mix and match -- plus there's a load of interest in the new hands and feet, so that should also fetch a decent price!

I've asked PC CS about this recently and the redemption code expires after one year. It's plenty of time to pick something up but just be mindful of it if it's sitting around too long.

Good to know! I was told they didn't expire, but that was a while back and not recently.
Cheers for the info! :D
