Speaking of permanent price drops, member Christalcase noticed that the RID Battlepacks are now down to a regular price of $20, from $30.
By the way, their exclusive Warrior RID toys (Starscream, Paralon, Optimus) were all gone by today as well, so as bad as it was to buy them for $30 each last weekend, I would have missed out if I had waited for a sale or this weekend's 20% off voucher.

I don't think they intentionally do it, and are just understaffed. But it really ticks me off when hey have the stock, and don't put it out for a sale.

Kmart Sunnybank got the TR Deluxe wave 3 on last nights truck, and all 8 toys were gone by 5pm. According to the staff member in that section of the store, they didn't even make it to the pegs... they were all taken off the cages that they use to wheel out the stock from the back, before the staffmember was able to get to that aisle of the toysection.

They also received a case of the new Rescue Bots transforming toys (with the new Hoist), and the RID 3-steps that have Bisk in it.

Mackay QLD has had Bumblebee, Kickback and Gnaw turn up at both toyworld and Big W, sadly they sold out the same day. I only got one BB and gnaw. missed out on kickback. Friend got set between both stores.

Big W hyperdome had on Wednesday a lonely Bumble, they must have restocked as Thursday afternoon they had a lonely Gnaw, which I promptly found a home for. So they seem to have some in backup and a filling overnight.

It was the Last Knight before Christmas Eve yesterday and I checked out the Garden City Westfield a little after 1am during their all-night opening... and it was more empty of Transformers than usual. So either the toyline is doing well this Christmas, or Retailers/Hasbro didn't get the stores to stock up to keep supplies above a regular minimum amount.

ToysRUS - after a big influx in the last two months, the store has returned to its former bare state that we have been used to all year, with very little variety (range of lines and characters) in both sections.

It is fairly standard on the final shopping days to be that stripped of Transformers toys, but every year it is the same, so it is really annoying and puzzling why Retailers or Hasbro don't get more stock out to stores in the week before Christmas, because it would clearly sell if there is so much empty space for desperate parents to grab last-minute gifts of anything they see in store.

And it looks like the Woolies got in two cases this time, when they usually just get in one... probably because they've been selling so well (it's like the fifth case of this wave there).

Oh, and it's 20% off Transformers at Coles until the 24th of January. Not as good as their usual 30% off, but still pretty good for these toys.

I forgot to post yesterday, but Kmart Robina had a full set of TR Legion Commanders Wave 3 except for, you guessed it, Gnaw. Can't guarantee kickback and bumblebee will still be there by now, but I'm guessing Bubles will be the pegwarmer. NO sighting of Wave 3 Voyager/Leaders though :(

I had one of the staff ask me if I needed help looking for anything when I was walking out of the store empty-handed... so I had my rant about their pathetic level of Transformers stock, and that their own head-office is to blame, because the individual stores can't order in product, even if it is a guaranteed sale by a customer request. :rolleyes:

A week later (today) and the stock had shrunk even further. :mad:

On the other hand, in their Playskool section, they had two new Transformers Rescue Bots toys come in... so new, that neither of them were scanning up today when I tried to buy them.
The main transforming bots had the latest wave come in, with Quickshadow (for $23 each, and a first sighting for Australia), and the redeco Elite Bot Heatwave, which was first found in Toyworld on Christmas Eve. I think the Morbot toy was released with Quickshadow, but I didn't see it (the shelves were a mess).

Toyworld Macgregor just got in a new shipment of Rescue Bots, including the new Flip Changers (single packs and 3-packs, which is a first sighting for Australia), and the most recent wave of transforming "Rescan" bots with Quickshadow and Morbot.
Prices are $13 for the single packs, $35 for the 3-packs, and $23 for the Rescan bots.

Two years ago, Kmart was pretty much the only store chain in Australia carrying Rescue Bots... now you can find a decent range in ToysRUs and Toyworld, plus a small number in BigW, Target and Coles.

JB Hifi had several copies of the 2007 release of Madman's 2-disc DVD of the 1986 Transformers movie (for $24), which they didn't have a couple weeks ago... and looking on their website, it has shown up at a lot of other stores around the country, suggesting a re-release of this edition.

Target Runaway Bay had a new series of 2-pack RiD toys, which I believe must be die-cast non-transforming matchbox racers. There is no instructions on it, nor is there a warning to parents that they don't convert.... so I can forsee a lot of crying children and returns. Packs are Optimus Sideswipe, Optimus Strongarm, Bumblebee Steeljaw. Price is $15 which is way over the cost of two matchboxes..... and if you buy all three, you are stuck with an extra Optimus with no difference in paint apps :(

Toys R Us at Garden City has heaps and heaps of The Last Knight Deluxes ($35!!!!!!!!!!), the two sizes of Turbo Changers and Legions ($8).

Kmart only had the Titan Changers.

All other stores have nothing new.

Target Runaway Bay has TLK legions, deluxes, one steps, and I think they were called Tiny Changers ( blind box of 12 ). No other sizes.

If you are wanting to know which ones you are buyin, the box shows what they look like and you can feel the outline (enough to identify which ones are cars, at least. There is also a TINY window on the back, so you can see the toys primary color. I was able to find Grimlock by his orange, and Starscream by grey color and not the car shape of Soundwave. Of course you might feel conspicuous doing this, and your mileage may vary.

Spoiler alert (maybe?) s Starscream was ROTF colors, so I hope that means he's back!

Oh and deluxes were scanning at $34 wtf?! Going to wait for the sale at that price.

ToysRUs was just like Myer, with dozens of new TR Legion toys from an older wave (Ravage, Rumble, Laserbeak). It is really weird seeing a sudden appearance of older waves at several different retailers, after a recent surge of the newest waves and movie toys. It's almost like the Hasbro warehouse found some old stock and suddenly offloaded them.

Anyway.... I saw this today at ToysRUs Garden City, and since I didn't hear about it from anyone else it might have just been this store. I didn't see it until well into the afternoon and didn't get a chance to post it up before the store closed, but am posting it now anyway to see if anyone else noticed it.

Haven't had a chance to get to Brisbane from Toowoomba since my fourth child was born earlier this year until today, wanted to grab those movie exclusives from Toys R Us at Garden City 'cause who knows when I'd be back, but Megatron had sold out ... bugger. Still three Skullitron's left, and plenty of the Optimus 2-packs and legion 2-packs. Didn't have time to go to Aspley unfortunately.

That was really surprising, to disappear within 2-3 days, considering the price ($40), which is even more than their regular deluxe toys ($35).
Maybe because they were placed above $25 shelf tags for some other product, and bought with other items, most people didn't realise that they were really charged $40.

They also had a heap of the GEN Voyager Broadsides, similar to BigW and ToysRUs, so it should be pretty easy to get one now... but it may not be as popular to regular shoppers like Optimus or Megatron, so could end up shelfwarming everywhere, preventing Blitzwing and Octone/Octane showing up here.

For those who don't have these yet it may be worth paying the extra and grabbing them while you can...
I was passing through the Brisbane CBD this morning so called into Big W on the way through on the off chance they had restocked these. The manager I spoke to said he had none in the system and the tag had been removed from the shelf because he said this part of the RID lineup was a QUIT line. When I asked him to clarify what that meant exactly he said they are like a clearance line while stocks last then they are unlikely to carry anymore unless the supplier (Hasbro) REFRESH the line.

This may explain why they were only $20 as Big W have had Special offer Clearance Transformers in the past. $10 Powercore combiners, $10 TF prime dlx. $5 Legions etc.

They used to be at Pacific Fair, until the big reno about 4 years ago, but this new store is at Robina... and by the looks of the TRU map, some distance outside the massive Robina Town Centre shopping centre.
If they aren't inside the shopping centre, that will hurt them, because they won't get the impulsive and convenient walk-in traffic of people while they are at the shopping centre. Not only is Robina on the southern end of the Gold Coast (not as appealing to drive to, as say, Helensvale or Southport), and is at the western side of the Gold Coast (not as convenient for most GC residents to check too often), but for people who go to the Robina shopping centre, most may not want to then drive a couple blocks away just for a toystore (or walk if you are using public transport).

On the plus side (for me), it might reduce the competition at the Garden City store... :p

They also had the newest RID Legions, with Heatseeker and Cyclonus... but both Cyclonus toys went home with me (for me and JustOwen, in return for finding some toys for me recently).

But at the front of the store, where they have their party supplies and confectionery, they had two rows of toys, that were nicely set up, as if they were just put out for a toy sale. At the back end (facing the wall), I found the Misfire wave of Titans Return Deluxes (two of each, minus one Windblade for Ravagecat)... again, like the Titanmasters, I find them after someone else had to find them for me.

And at Toyworld Macgregor, some of this is probably new (they had both Voyager and Leader Movie Megatrons, and the RID 3-step Soundwave wave), but the thing I noticed that was definitely new (for them), was the large Movie Dragonstorm toy... for $159!

Target Springwood - still no Movie Voyagers.... but almost all of the Titans Return Deluxes from the Misfire wave are still there - only the two Windblades are gone.

I picked up the last Leader Megatron from Kmart Garden City (currently sale for $65), no other Leaders remaining. Sunnybank Kmart doesn't seem to have gotten their Leaders in yet.
