I like the idea of Deadpool getting into the mix (despite his recent case of extreme overexposure in the comics - there are seven Deadpool comics coming out in July!) and hope they give him multiple taunt moves like Dan has had.

Super SF 4 should be out very soon too right? SSF4 and MvC3 will both go on my list of first games to buy when I get my PS3. I just hope MvC3 isn't as hard to get as MvC2 was.

Me too, Deadpool is one of my fave chars and the only reason I bought Ultimate Alliance 2. I hope Servbot from Megaman is in MVC3. He was a great joke character and I loved he way his Supper Time super did more damage if it was blocked than it did when it hit. I was a little disappointed he wasn't playable in Tatsunoko, as he ran around in the background.

SSFIV comes out here on 29 April. I assume that MVC3 will be much easier to get, since I think 2 came out near the petering off of the Dreamcast, which sadly was soon after it was released. Damn you SegaOzisoft. Not promoting the thing is what really killed it here. I Ended up buying a second hand copy as I couldnt find a new one anywhere and I was checking around the week the game was released....

I don't remember the Dreamcast version being that hard to find, but the PS2 and Xbox releases were very limited runs, i think cause it was close to the end of the licensing period, so i wouldn't worry too much about finding a copy of MvC3!

Just got done with Bioshock 2! Awesome game! Bit weirder than the first though...

And MVC3!!!! Hell yeah! Got 2 when it hit the xbox live servers, but they killed it... no 6 button support :( Hopefully 3 comes out with it like it should :) Otherwise my arcade stick will be useless hahaha

Yea, I decided to get one once and or all, so I started the top row of the lake.

Gyarados, wiscash, gyarados, gyarados, wiscash, etc, then the very last spot of that row, feebas. Holy crap dude! Took me a few moments to register what it was at first, then when I fully realised, I was very happy indeed. :)

Accidently killed the first one with cut from bidoof, but I just kept fishing that spot and I just decided to just throw regular pokeballs at them. Did the trick. :)

I wonder if they have "fixed" the friend code trading system yet... I got me some Feebas through the GTS, after I gave up fishing that expletive lake for over an hour with no luck.

I'm legendary hunting in Gold, going to get the R/E/S legendary from this game, trade it over to Silver and get me another Rayquaza. Then starting all over again with the english versions.

It is for the Pokewalker. The mystery gift is a new path full of pikachu. But some of the ones you can catch on the pokewalker are rare pikachu with moves like surf and fly. Moves they can't normally learn

Sorry, I meant arcade 6 button, where you don't have to press light twice to do a medium attack, and called partners in by hitting the two attack buttons. That's how I played it in the arcades, that's what I want now :)

I got burnt on gta4. Not ready to trust them again yet. Plus it's for console only, well, consoles I don't have. I may be using an xbox controller on my PC, but not on an xbox. :)

Really impressed with the way this game is turning out. I'm a big fan of these 'open-world environments'.

RDR wil be Game of the Year for me. Looks amazing, so much to do, multiplayer looks next level in regards to game types and lobby, customization, best game physics so far. I'll be playing this one for a long time.

Yeah it's a really good game, alot of fun! The multiplayer was good too with the powerful backpacks but I don't know how many users still play it online. It should have got a better reception :(

I want to go thru it again without doing most of the side missions. I did a lot of them the first time and towards the end it's just me driving around an empty map because I levelled most of the buildings.

I'm not entirely sure of this myself , as i have never used it and as such i am assuming that it might need to be programed in the game itself ...

As, i noticed that "Tom Clancys HAWX" and "Colin Mcrae Dirt 2" ( I'm not entirely certain but i think "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" as well) had a LAN option in the game itself :confused::confused:

Well, I'm only 2 days into RDR and I just wanted to say - if you don't own this game, get it!!

The story is top-notch and the game play is easy enough to jump right in there (especially if you are a veteran of the GTA series).

There is just so much to do in this game, that I can't see myself getting bored of it in a hurry.

You'll get into this game alright. I've spent hours just riding around the desert searching for a particular animal to kill to complete a challenge. And it doesn't get boring when you're suddenly attacked by a cougar/wolf/bear/boar/coyote while riding around. It's the most addictive game i've played.

Hey Guys, does anybody know where a good place to ask for screen protector application? I am having difficulty getting them on right, because unlike a PSP for iPhone the DS touch screen is recessed into the frame so every time you try and wipe the dust away, they get into the corners and when u apply large amounts of dust is spotted. And I'm worried to use tape to remove dust because it might leave residue on the screen. Does anybody know where I can find experienced people that can do it for me?

So I just bought a $250 2 star horse to see if it was better than the one I already had. Took it for a spin and and friggin cougar comes outta nowhere and kills it in one whack!:mad:

Turned out there were about 3 or 4 cougars in the area. Naturally I had to hunt them down and skin them. Gotta make back my money. Damn cougars.

God I love red dead!:D

Hey I just got final fantasy 13 on PS3. I'm just wonder, since I'm brand new to the ff series how do the characters grows? E.g LVL up kinda like pokemon in the FF XIII? Also I saw the tutorial at the start where you attack an enemy and the yellow bar goes up leading the enemy to get paralyzed, how does this concept work? I didn't understand the tutorial.

(Ravager class) Magical (spells) attacks pushes up the bar but would quickly depletes if it isn't combo'ed with physical attacks...

Whilst (Commando class) physical (weapons) attacks alone won't push the bar up much.

Once enemy is paralyzed, commandos' attack FTW

Try always maintain a Commando in the group

Cheers! Um... how does stagger work? I'm stuck where u need to stagger your enemy in order to win, other wise it will kill you. It's right after the first boss.

Thing is, I would rather have a Controller of some sort for games , especially Driving , Controlling Weapons (etc... "Swords/Shields" & "Guns") and Aircraft "More so for Combat Aircraft". :(

as well, as the feeling of direct control, which Kinect (http://au.xbox360.ign.com/articles/109/1096884p1.html ) "by" the looks of it , will not feel the same. :(

Although, this is not Real Life , i also prefer it to be similar to real life, as in that it has something physically to control things with.
(etc... i can't imagine people: driving with imaginary Steering Wheels, Brake & Accelerator Pedals, Gear Stick and so on in real life cars and going somewhere, Pretending to pull the trigger to fire an imaginary gun ).... Buttons "or at least 1 Button at an un-preferable minimum" at least is needed for these types of games.:(

The only thing, i see that the "Kinect" tech is good for is replacing the Mouse and "maybe" Keyboard on things that need them (etc.. PC and maybe later on things like Moblie Phones , Ipad , Itouch). :)

But, with Better Graphics (which is why, i didn't or plan to get the Nintendo Wii):mad:

since "as another poster has posted" they have got a deal with Foxtel to put channels "or" shows over Xbox Live for people with Gold Subscription... and i think you need to be a subscriber for Foxtel as well. :)

I'm thinking more minority report stuff here, but I do understand what you mean about a controller though when I think of shooters. HOTD overkill is a fantastic wii game with the hand cannon. :)

But that is also more suited to the ps3 games. They're all shooters, well, quite a lot of the, um, worthwile few games the ps3 has. ;)

i could be wrong here..:o
But i personally, think there needs to be more than 2 senses (Sight & Sound) to play a game and i believe it needs to be at least 3 (Sound, Sight & Touch) In more than just basic ways, especially if you controlling something in a world you are not physically in...

The only thing i can think of, that will be "true" non-controller gaming (i might add 3d as well) would be technology similar to the Holodeck (from Star Trek: The Next Genertion, DS9 & Voyager) and based on those shown it could have the potential of using all 5 senses, not just the main 3 (Sight, Sound and Touch) if not 4 (Smell, which funnily enough should be what they are focusing on rather if not as well, as 3D even though i wouldn't like it on some things.:D)

Mortal Kombat 9 (E3) trailer was posted the other day. Gotta say that it looks quite impressive.

It's meant to be a reboot of the series now that the rights to the game have been bought by WB meaning that the story takes place somewhere between MK 1 and 2. It even looks like the old 2D side-scrolling games of old with some very familiar backgrounds.

Release is set for March '11. Can't wait :D

Yea, there's a reason for that. ;)

The reason being the new kicked in 360 that comes with wifi, 5 usb, upgraded electronics so it's cooler and quieter, and a 250gb hdd. Should be out in a couple of weeks I think. Oh yea, plus the new kinect if you're into that sort of thing, (the player is the controller device).

So be aware of why the current 360's are being thrown out cheaply. :)

Cheers! Um... how does stagger work? I'm stuck where u need to stagger your enemy in order to win, other wise it will kill you. It's right after the first boss.

If you need to stagger to win, use COM/RAV/RAV... that way, the COM will slow down the stagger bar from depletion.

I can't wait for MK to be released. I'm a big fan of MKII and this looks like an upgraded version of that game. A lot of the backgrounds are familiar as is the look of the characters. It is meant to be a March '11 release... can't come soon enough.

Thanks to the game sale, I think I've done about half of my christmas shopping for relatives! :p

Finished Cybertron Adventures, about 15% of the way through Super Mario Galaxy 2, if you loved the original, you'll love this more, it has Yoshi goodness, and a much simpler overworld map. Plus the second player can actually kill weaker enemies, instead of just freezing them.

Also halfway through Rabbids go home, man I wish I had've played this earlier, its a mix between a super monkey ball and we love katamari, with Rabbids!

Oh and Toy Story 3 on Wii is good, but I stopped playing after an hour, as my version is in French and I dont understand a word of it! :D

Very true, a great game, and even better for two player.

Lego harry Potter was far far better than I was expecting, I really love it, there are no "cheap kills" like in Indy and Batman, just leaves you open to explore and have fun at your own pace, highly recommended for any Potter fans, books or movies (but game follows the movies more)

I use PlayTV, its great for casual TV use and recording, if its your only way of watching Digital TV it does lack some features of standalone units, its only real drawback other than the long boot time is that it can only record 1 show at a time, but for its price its fantastic.

I thought it would be great, however the inabaility to copy to an external HDD and the fact that 20 mins of an HD channel is at least 2Gb, I gave up on it. But I'm the type that keeps everything, so if you need it to tape a show while you're out, it's brilliant.

I don't have a HD set top box... but I also don't have a HD TV! I wouldn't want to keep everything but I'd like to keep some things.

Btw I recently purchased Street Fighter IV for iPhone and think its fab. It's really got me excited for the full version. I thought the limited buttons would be annoying (and it is a bit, some of my old SFII tricks won't work) but there's still lots of moves and it plays really well. Except Bison is a bit cheap on the Hard setting.

if you got a phat HDD on your PS3 (I gots 320gig) you wont have any probs with the recording taking up so much space.

If you want to keep recordings keep in mind that play TV lacks any sort of editing or labeling function. So those ads will always be there. Since I don't record to keep its no biggy for me

The router is 3 meters away from my room. My phone and laptop get full signal from it on my bed. I have never had this problem before. It usually just goes through fine.
But I might have to move it anyway to see. Sigh.....such a hassle

If you've got a laptop you can plug that into the Xbox via LAN cable and bridge the two connections, which is often easier than setting up the modem next to the xbox every time you want live (or vice versa)

i notice its been a bit slow in game coolness lately. Not that I mind, less temptation when doing assignments.

I have been having a bash on Dantes Inferno, interesting god of war like game, with a 9 levels of hell setting as you have to rescue Beatrice, Dante's woman. Interesting take on the sins and I have learnt a bit about how early christianity worked. ie on fear:p And the classification of levels of sins, eg traechery is far worse than adultery. ALthough,, one could be considered being trcherous to one's partner when commiting adultery really... hmmm Tricky. Glad I don't believe.

It really pushes the DLC for $$ option. you can buy souls (points) for uograding your skills... WTF?!? Just kill some baddies. Extra play mode as St Elucia (i think, I forget right now) which is just a 2 player time trial thingy and its $16! What a gip!

Never seen so many boobs in a game!:D

I got Rugby League Live for PS3 yesterday.:D

It is absolute rubbish. There is no franchise mode. You can't unlock heritage jerseys by winning games and the create a team mode is severly lacking. There are less teams that you can select (they don't include the lower grade English teams like Rugby League 3 does). Even the gameplay is worse then RL3 on wii which is quite funny because on the RL3 boards the admin said they didn't make rugby league 3 for PS3 or X-Box 360 because those consoles are far more advanced and they want make a game with a better engine for those next gen machines. Well Tru Blu all I can say is EPIC FAIL:mad:. They have sacrificed gameplay for player likeness, they have a created a slow mode close up screen shot for heavy hits (big whoop) and the have an online play mode. Something that I laugh at is the crowd still looks like the same cardboard cutouts used in the first rugby league game on PS2. Even the uniform and pitch degredation is minimal at best so I don't know why they advertised that as a highlight.

The couple of improvements I can see are...
When you tackle someone near a sideline you have the option to push the triangle button to drag them into touch.

The computer uses it's subsitutes instead of waiting for an injury, even if they are a bit odd sometimes (Subsituting Michael Ennis for Mickey Paea:rolleyes:)

The video ref isn't random. You watch the replays and you can actually tell if you scored or not.

Goalkicking is better,eaasier, more realistic (It actually takes the wind into consideration:eek:).

In conclusion. Don't buy this game. Tru Blu have created history as this is the forst rugby league game I will be returning for a full refund.

The one thing all sporting games (even curling) need is a franchise mode, a single season mode just is not long enough to get a great team together (unless you cheat).

I got a PS3. As far as I know, they can play games from any region. Never tested this myself so I hope it's true... especially if it's going to be modified for an Oz release.

I dunno about that the Classification board here can be pretty random sometimes....

Although the blood should be fine by now surely, I am concerned the violent aspect of the cool x-ray attacks might be forcing it into the 'too violent' territory of our over protective ratings system.

Thanks for the heads up Bobby, I was looking forward to getting this game, seeing how much fun I had playing the PS2 versions, and the Wii version was enjoyable with a gamecube controller.

The one thing all sporting games (even curling) need is a franchise mode, a single season mode just is not long enough to get a great team together (unless you cheat).

Shame the "new" features dont make up for all the failings.

I forgot to mention it doesn't feature one of the better ideas from RL3. Changing your attack and defence stratergies on the fly. I thought that was really good in RL3. Another dissapointment about this new game:(

Game should *hopefully* still be as good as the first gory early videos are though. Please code it faster before the P.C. thugs get wind of it and censor it so much it makes hello kitty looks like a serial killer in comparison.

I was just about to post a link to the new Mortal Kombat Shadow Trailer when I noticed that it was already being discussed. :p

I thought the trailer was quite classy really and the song choice was quite fitting, though Disturbed's new album hasn't grabbed me by the balls like Indestructible did, in what the MK Universe is. :D

I myself am looking forward to it immensely but I'll have to go get a PS3 first in order to play it.

On a side note, has anyone heard of, or played Minecraft (http://www.minecraft.net/)?
I've just bought the game but have spent nearly 20hrs building stuff on the 'Creative Minds' server, I really like the game as it is a great Independent title that will get you hooked pretty darn quickly. :p:D

My Brother and I have this theory that what Gearbox are gonna do is basically cleanup and polish what was left by 3D Realms (Which, apparently, is a complete F@$#% game??? :rolleyes:) and do what 3D Realms couldn't do over a 10 year period - Actually Friggin' Release The Game!!! :D:D:D

Yeah I had a mate leaving for the states on the 15th, so after the midnight launch we came back and did the whole campaign on heroic before breakfast :p albeit it was a later breakfast followed by sleep. I liked it, there's a few tips of the hat to previous games, I havent played much of 2 but I think it does top 3, which I also really liked. Potential spoilers: The powers come in really handy, and fighting elites is awesome :D they're so damn quick! Plus better weapons

I know it's been out for ages, but I just got Batman Arkham Asylum ($30 from Big W for PS3) and while I thought it had a slow start I'm really enjoying it.

(And Christian Bale should play it to get a clue as to what Batman's voice should sound like!)

LOL. $30 is pretty damn fine price!

There are so many cool things in that game. I like the way it has stories and stuff on characters that aren't in the game and little touches like if you make Batman jump off from somewhere high without gliding, he will flare his cape out like a parachute just before he lands. The combat, although challenging at the start is great once you get into the swing of things and pulling off a 32 hit continuous combo without dropping a punch makes you feel so good.

If on PS3, definitely get the joker packs if it doesn't have them already.

Number 2 can't be far off now.

As a test, I just bought a PSN card for US store and am giving Castlevania SOTN and Grandia a download. hope the region coding isn't going to get in the way now... At least I will be able to use them on my PSP, so not a complete loss.

Will post results.

there's a few in ebay. I recently killed my modded DC. It now has the black swirl of death and won't load any game :( If anyone can help me fix this, I would really be greatful.

I assume you are talking about the DC box ripping? I think that customs get an exception from any damages occured from them damaging your stuff. I think it sucks though. They cut right through the top of the box... there's a tab for opening the box if they had cared to look.

You tried pushing the pins? (http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/dc-reset.htm#extra) This works for a good while before you'll have to do it again!

Well the HD collection does have a demo of Mortal Kombat 2011 included so maybe that's where the confusion came from. I just hope that MKII plays like MKII and they don't try and tweak it in anyway. I'm also really looking forward to playing the first MK. I still have the game on SNES which IMHO is the best home version (yes, even without the gore).

FIFA 11 released!

I picked up today - it's quite good. Gameplay wise the improvements are marginal really but the overall package is much better (presentation, customisation, personalising all much better than in 10)

Bought the latest DLC for Borderlands, played for a couple of hours before realising they haven't included the new level cap. It will be "released sometime in October as a free patch". Figured I'm not going to continue playing until I'm actually rewarded with something other than XP just going to waste, seeing as how cash rewards are pointless at this stage of the game, and there doesn't seem to be any weapon rewards so far.

I played the 360 demo for Vanquish last night and was pleasantly impressed. It was a short demo but reminded me of Metal Slug(somehow) and Lost Planet.

Also played the demo of Limbo. That is a spooky, creepy little indie game I'd like to play the rest of. It seems more polished and complete than many AAA titles but I hear it is only 3-6hrs long.

Woooo, Westerns and Zombies, my two favourite genres...

tried the Castlevania demo today, not bad. Plays like God of war. Graphics look sweet. Not too sure if it will hold my attention for long though. Also tried the new Tomb raider game. Isometric view point this time with a nifty two player mode. I thought the one player mode would have the aztec guy as AI, but he just dissappears... Might try and rope the wife into playing it to see how different it is. (Good luck with that Tets:rolleyes: )

So far I was impressed by TR, some nifty puzzles in there. Can't remember if it has online multiplayeror not. Not often I can get mates around the house...

Also found Aika from Eternal Arcadia and a couple of crew member characters that also show up as soldiers in Valkyria Chronicles. Nice touch. I am really liking that game!

Question for the Playstation 3 owners out there: if I buy a PS3 game from the UK will I have any trouble playing it on my Australian PS3? I believe the answer's no, but would like some confirmation. There's some cheap deals by buying from the UK at the moment.

I buy most of my games from the UK because of the fact that they are cheaper and I own a PS3 bought in Oz (JB HI FI to be specific :p)... they all work fine.

You might have issues with DLC - I got Ninja Gaiden Sigma for my PS3 from the UK many moons ago, plays fine on my Aus PS3 but when I purchased the DLC, it wouldn't work (the DLC not the game). That being said, I also got Dynasty Warriors Gundam 1 and 2 from the UK, and the DLC from the Aus. PS3 store works fine. All games are marked region 2. So I guess it depends on the game.

Thats odd, about Ninja Gaiden Sigma, as the Aus PS store is the same as the UK one. Unless the region codes on the back of the game actually mean something :eek:

I have had plenty of UK games on my PS3. Us ones too, and a couple of JP too. I like my multiculturalism...:p

I love it! HOWEVER! you need to be fully informed of the games content before buying, you might feel ripped off otherwise!

Only 4 proper Zones, thankfully 3 acts each. That makes 12 levels then. (I would have preferred 6 zones with 2 acts each for more variety, but there you have it.)

Game is very unoriginal, all bosses are slightly remixed from Sonic 1 & 2.

Music kinda sucks, but grows on you.

Special stages are like Sonic 1's except you rotate the level yourself this time.

$20!!!! ouch.

Did you try getting Mew for Diamond or is it only for Silver/Gold. I downloaded Jirachi for both Diamond and HeartGold a few months ago but that was a store available Pokemone and maybe those are different.

I've gotta find somewhere with WiFi to catch Mew (since I cant get my DS to connect via my home wireless). Hopefully McDonalds might help me out?

That's disappointing :( I saw them in the catalogue tonight and thought that they looked awesome. Probably for the best anyway... I already have the MD collection for PS2 and it has all the games this one has plus an extra 12.

Did you try getting Mew for Diamond or is it only for Silver/Gold.

Only for Heart Gold and Soul Silver, and does not unlock anything, just there for the sake of being there (and completion).

I've gotta find somewhere with WiFi to catch Mew (since I cant get my DS to connect via my home wireless). Hopefully McDonalds might help me out?

If you can connect, my DS never has much luck at McD's stores.

I've always found the GTS is a bugger to use regardless of where you connect. So many issues with it. I can't see you having to much trouble logging in and getting Mew though, seeing as how it's only a Mystery Gift off the startup screen.

Finished Toy Story 3, it's actually pretty good but I found it was a little too short. Now playing Assasins Creed.

Also just bought G-Force a couple of days ago. And playing God of War III on the PS3 when the fiance isn't hogging it with his FIFA 11. :D :p
