Hasbro have said that pretty much all pre-DOTM Generations molds are all now too costly to fit in the current budget for Deluxe releases.

So following that reasoning, Sky-Byte would be way out of budget for them too.

Plastic, size, paint, general weight. I think it's a bit of everything.
Looking To Buy Either Siege Or Earthrise Ratchet, and Buzzworthy SS86 ER Cliffjumper.

Oh, I remember now. Thats why the TFP line next year is going to be made out of upscaled Legends toys

Personally I would have just raised the price and kept making bigger, more articulated and nicely painted toys. Hope all this new Generations stuff doesn't suffer the same way next years TFP stuff is.

Hmm... some EXTREMELY awesome potentiality here; lets hope we get to see some visual proof in the not too distant future and that most of these Generations figures pan-out, with new molds!

That's a pretty sweet list. About half of those have got me pretty interested, especially Brainstorm.
I've been looking over the 3PP not-Brainstorms and none of them have been doing it for me, so here's hoping HasTakTom do as good a job of him as they did Springer.

Check out Monzo's post here for HEAPS more stuff listed, both new and old.

Great to see some interesting new Kre-O listings, and surprising to see listings for things like Titanium Ironhide, which is completely new to us. Seems safe to assume it was probably going to be a War Within version too, which makes it even sadder that the line didn't last.

It's a HUGE list he's compiled, and well worth a look, to see what is coming up and what could have been.

So happy to see Legends Thundercracker with Venom. Hope they use the cartoon blue like Guido did in his concept art.

Yes I agree, and have been following the comics closely. My question remains, why devote so much limited comic-panel spacing for Sky-Byte? Unless IDW had a directive from Hasbro earlier on in the year to include and up-sell Sky-Byte's character, I don't see a particular reason why this character should get more glamour over a plethora of original vintage characters.

I think the best indicator that Jetfire and Megatron are new is that they're actually together as an assortment. Other Platinum stuff has just been single releases, and it looks like these two are going to ship together. To me, that's a very good indicator that we may indeed be looking at an all-new Jetfire, and an all-new Megatron. But as always, we're in for a hell of a ride to find out!
I certainly agree with Leader Jetfire being highly likely to be a ROTF re-release. With what happened to Jetfire a few issues back, and with his character design in those RID issues being so similar to the Classics Voyager release, I do not see the reason to pour limited mould development dollars into it. Would be extremely cool if they did, but unlikely to me.

Although you might not like Sky-Byte a lot of people do (me included) to the point where he was a finalist for Hasbro's Hall of Fame (a very small group of characters have that honour). That's obviously enough for the powers at be to choose to have in the comics and toy line over the few "Geewun" characters not already revisited.
