Simply put you just want the item as sold out when there is a possibility that another customer may have his credit card declined or thinking about other payment options and eventually decides not to proceed hence will release a slot for another customer but if it's sold out means zero chance even though a customer decides to leave.
It's only like two steps before it is shown sold out and is not when you are filling your credit card details.
I do not see how much more efficient it can be. Perhaps show an example.

You do seem a little worked up over it though so I think we might just stop here. Let's not overreact. Let's all relax and move on I think.

You can add him to cart but says out of stock when you go to payment page.

I like this suggestion. It also gives the VIP members to get things sorted than receiving last minute mails and rush.

While I'm sorely tempted to impulse buy and pre-order, I only really want Hot Rod. I can totally understand the logic in not offering them for individual sale, because he's going to be THE toy to get from that wave. I'll cherry pick from retail if /when they get a mass market release.

Luckily I want all three - going for Classics-verse completion here.
In fact in the last few years there hasn't really been any waves I haven't wanted all of them, bar the extra Autobot waves in CW in which I didn't want any (already had decent versions.)

Looks like an update on shipping current in stock items and preorder items on one order.
I am sure whatever it is , it may be very well be ship only if all items are in order etc....it is still being reasonable unless that item has been like Mia .
We see their announcement .

there really should be one consistent policy to cover both scenario, as someone has pointed out on a comment on the page
" If my order consists of one instock item and a pre-order due in 6 months, I would have to wait 6 months for both items, as per point one. But if I pre-order two items which are released 6 months apart I would see no delay, as per point two.
Was that an intentional inconsistency or an oversight?"

Yep, it makes sense because if each item was less than $100, you would qualify for free shipping but then PC would have to pay for postage twice if they shipped the two orders separately. That would impact their profit margin. So you are best keeping those orders separate unless the preorder arrives not too long after you make the order.
As for the case where you make two separate pre-orders that are released 6 months apart but still get individual shipping, they probably wanted to keep it simple and don't think that will happen in many cases.

Surely that doesn't apply to entirely separate purchases made weeks apart where shipping was paid for each.
What's the idea behind it, to keep shipping total costs down with combined shipping?

Yes it's only in one transaction (they say "the rules apply when placing an order"). And yes it's to save them in shipping costs, which is understandable to keep prices down.

Interesting. There would be a fair bit of warehouse stock storage juggling going on so wonder if they could use this to implement a POL/Private Warehouse system. Items still paid up front but items can sit in there for a limited time and bundled up to reach free postage.

Then it would make sense to apply the same rule/policy to both scenario since both are essentially the same scenario where one part of the order will ship first and the other part later.
Some would say you should make seperate orders on the in stock / PO scenario
But the same could/ should be done on PO/PO scenario by that logic

Guys this isn't new, ny uses the same thing so is amiami, you are advised to order seperate if you want in stock items, and in this case if you bought just to top up to get free shipping , you just have to wait.
As for storage, that's their issue not mine.
And nope there will be no warehouse etc.. Not in their interest. They are responsible for all in stock items to be kept aside for you till the rest of your items arrive for that order. This is what they need to understand and have the ability to hold customers items safely till all items arrive.
To me point one actually should be it.

Actually for me it doesn't have to be a plus but just a full on accurate mp-10 like the movie, not comics not folding gun etc.. And painted eyes
If plus, I like the windows to be light blue, maybe whiter legs. And solid yellow on waist for those translucent pieces.
But yes not everyone cup of tea. Imo Eva prime looks to be the best of the lot for that mould and sadly that says a lot about the original piece.

Can anyone tell me about the Energon (shopper) points?
I made a purchase a while back and earned some points, and then a made another purchase couple months later, and I didn't see those points, nor any way to use them.
I mean do they expire right away, it was only a couple of months, is their any way to see how many points you have, and how do you use them as it didn't give me the option with the last purchase I made.

When your account is logged in at Premium Collectables, on the left of the screen, you'll see a tab that says Energon Loyalty Program. Click on that and it'll display how many points you have. From that tab you can choose which discount to go for e.g. $65 off an order after spending $1000. Once you've chosen and confirmed the discount, you'll get a discount code that you can use on your next order.
They don't expire right away (or ever as far as I know) and after every order you should get an email saying you've earned X amount of Energon Points depending on how many you have spent - I'd shoot them an email if you haven't received such an email confirming the points have been received.

Also, any chance or larger numbers of product in the future?
I've bought a couple things here and there, but missed out on most stuff as it sold out the day it was listed with no restock, but did manage to order WAVE 3 Deluxes of Titans Return. Missed out on all the other waves (but did buy them from kmart/myer instead when they turned up)

Yeah I took a look. nothing really interested me. Dia Battles that was broken, but did not say what was damaged? Pass on that one, kind of kills the play mechanic.
But I'll watch out for other stuff in the future. I don't mind damaged boxes (I throw them out anyway) but I don't buy broken toys unless they are G1 or CHUG junkers sometimes.

I'm still waiting on a reply to my email from 2 weeks ago! I paid for mine the night it went up so I don't where they are to be honest.

same here still waiting. They did have an update on facebook a month ago saying they received the first batch of TT Fort Max.
Guess we're all waiting for the next batches to come through

Lack of updates is a real pain point with PC, they don't seem to respond that fast (if at all) to customer emails/ comments on facebook).
Supposedly there is a new CRM system in place to help now ... and weren't they planning some monthly or weekly product updates via a podcast or something?

Tbh, lack of updates is not an issue with me. I know they'll arrive eventually. Alot of the things I've ordered though have been delayed by manufacturers, and that's pretty easy to work out with a quick search to the internet

I am the same... I have never had items not delivered, so I dont worry about the lack of updates or if the item arrives late. The cheaper prices is what does it for me.

I haven't had the issues others had... I have A grade communication with PC, they interact regularly with me on Twitter and if I need to ask them a question I DM them and get a reply within a few hours.

Agreed, if it means higher prices I would be happy with no communication.

I also would prefer this, I'm just finding it odd as I put my order in 30 seconds after the pre-order went up. We all know they announced orders till may have arrived but so far only a handful have been shipped (board members) that I know of.

well you should of got yours already per their FB update:
"Takara Fortress Maximus- Half our Shipment arriving this week,
Estimated orders up until the the middle of May will be filled with this shipment."
Doesn't hurt to chase it up.

Yeah auspost will only allocate pc so much room on their truck each day. I've been buying from pc since they started selling tf's so I understand their process.
I've sent 5 emails this year regarding 5 different orders only ever heard back about 1. I was just hoping some else on here might have had email replied too from their cs.

I gotta say that is customer service 101 right there.
Any business that doesn't take that into account is not really looking to build long term customers.
I've ordered a few things here and there from PC, and will wait and see (after they arrive) if i will use them again.
The lack of communication seems to be an ongoing issue that concerns me more than anything else as a customer.
If it's not going to change, why not be upfront about it and, put some copy on the website to save people headaches?
I buy from another store that is like mostly a one man show, (I'm not saying the name) and he's up front about it, and I don't mind that it may take a week or two to get an email response, and he always does actually respond.
What people value for customer service - other than good communication (#1) is HONESTY about how the service operates. If communication is going to be infrequent, then in my view, say so. That's going to make the diff for me sticking around as a customer or moving on.
I've had someone (a long term collector) who buys a LOT of high priced stuff warn me not to use PC because of the issues that people keep mentioning here.
But I prefer to trust my own experiences, and have made several purchases, and will judge the results down the track. :)

There's also the fact that several people that have come forward saying they had bad communication experiences with them have been called out to be quite frankly lying about the content of the communication and started the ball off on a hostile note, while I for one have always been calm and patient, so perhaps this also should be taken into consideration.
I've found there to be very few issues that can't be resolved when dealing with PC if one is calm and honest about the matter, but I can only judge based off my own experience.
Granted there are times when a little more info could be forthcoming without being prompted, but as a business they have grown substantially, so a few hiccups and delays are to be expected

It's consistency that matters as many have decent Comms, at the same time equal amount has less then satisfactory Comms
Personally I had been on both ends of the spectrum where at times it would be within 1-3 days while others up to a week + and reply only came as chased again
If they can keep up the same communication turnaround across the board then it would be a welcome change for all customers
Also It wouldn't hurt to standardise their SLA for Communication as in their site it says within 24hrs but on recent replies they say 48hrs, perhaps better yet reset expectation and do away with any sla for response and basically note you'all get a reply when we can, open ended

I'm actually still waiting on my first orders that I ordered back in March, but I know there are delays from the manufacturer. The figure in question has only just appeared through other online stores. But I'm a patient man and don't feel I need to hound them for when mine will arrive. It's been paid for so will arrive eventually
And only just the other day I messaged them on facebook to clarify energon points expiry. Got a response within 24hrs.

I'm not actually sure that is correct about the VIPs. I haven't read anything that says they get priority over others. Only that they get a discount and access to exclusive offers.

I gotta say... I'm impressed!
I'd emailed PC regarding the pre-order for TT Fort Max and got a prompt reply.
Further emails were responded to in a timely fashion.
PLUS I just got confirmation that my order has been shipped.
I've got some travel plans coming up but once I'm back, I'm pre-ordering and buying off these guys for sure.

Best way to avoid this with TR releases is to check forums and see if there is a wave about to be released. I think TFW2005 had it listed that all 3 were about to be listed so once Sixshot went up it was likely OP and Megs were just behind. Only risk is that they may go out of stock but I don't think that has happened once yet within a week for non-exclusive TR releases.

Is there a reason why PC ships stuff out in random order, have seen first hand orders that are not VIP nor paid extra to jump the queue, all contain 1 item of the same type yet order 1 & 3 gets shipped , but order 2 is skipped with no explanation

I already bought one in store months ago when they first showed up here. If PC were a store that only takes my money once the order is honoured then I wouldn't care about an unfulfilled order, but since I paid for this toy up front I would like to have something to show for it, even if it's going to end up on my sales thread (and probably take ages to move since Sentinel is actually shelfwarming everywhere atm). I basically want something to show for the money that I paid.
But I know that PC are slow and didn't want to sound impatient, but I agree that waiting February to November is a jolly long time to have nothing to show for the money I paid. If my wife fell pregnant when I ordered this toy, the baby would have been born by now! :eek: (and every parent here knows that the 9 months of pregnancy are the slowest "are we there yet?" 9 months of your life! :p) But yeah, seriously considering sending them an email.

I'm going to assume it's still 1st shipment by air 2nd by sea which is why there is a 4-6 week gap in shipping notices

Pc is no different from tfi when it comes to fulfilling orders. Both stores get goods in in dribs and drabs making customers wait weeks and months after release to receive a paid in full pre-order. Both stores often neglect responding to customers emails and private messages. I honestly don't now why people put up with buying from such stores with consistently poor customer service.

Crap. The reason why I went back to them is they said 1 run 1 shipment for MP's. It looks like I'll be going back to HLJ and RK for my Transformers needs. 'Tis a shame.

Consistently poor customer service? I'd hardly agree there. Any questions I've sent through via email and on facebook have been responded to. They are competitively cheaper than anywhere else. I have no issue with waiting for my orders to come through. If people want to go elsewhere and pat more, that's fine.

Because some people, don't bother about wait times and low price is the attraction.
If octa did not existed it probably solved all complaints because you wouldn't know PC had started shipping out part of their orders. All it takes is one member to say I got my notification and everyone seem to be dying to insist theirs is next.
it feels almost like a lot of you think TT factory is just beside PC and the goods do not need to travel to QLD.
I do agree they can have better customer service and they should take feedback on board even on Facebook if the customer is actually right.

Even though I have complained about their cs on here. I enquired about a product last week and received a email saying they have received it and it is being reviewed, is this a new feature? As its something i've never got before maybe, my previous emails never made it?
2 days later they replied which was welcoming so i might try again with making sure i get a misb Mp-11sw:D

Yep, almost all of my queries, mostly weather they intend to stock some 3rd Party items, are responded to within a day.
They are competitively cheaper than anywhere else. I have no issue with waiting for my orders to come through. If people want to go elsewhere and pat more, that's fine.
And that's the issue. I don't mind waiting a few extra weeks for my orders to ship compared to other stores, but when it drags on for months at a time with no explanation, that is why I am sending business to another local store.

Its a consistency matter , from this forum alone we can see people have exp great to not that great service, I have first hand exp the same where some queries are answered promptly while others goes into a void and respond only received way out of their SLA and after chasing up .
ultimately there are many areas for improvement and the sooner they can move to a more proactive support model that is inline with other business that utilize social media, tighten up their processes so all customers receive the same level of experience, provide more transparent general updates on released stock the better it will be for everyone.
Anyhoo this convo should really move back to the feedback thread anyway.

That's fair enough. I'm in no rush for my stuff personally. There's a few things that have been released through other stores but I'm still waiting on it from PC. To each their own as to their patience threshold.

Because they're cheap.
Some people are quite happy to hand over their money & wait, others not so much. That's the beauty of having options in this day and age, you can always take your business elsewhere.

they got a new crm app (customer relationship management) so not really a new email thing, its just a different application/solution for business to track customer/sales records, activities email included, it doesn't improve or allow quicker response time by default. it ultimately comes back down to having the adequate resource to process and response all request in a timely manner.

I emailed them the other day asking an ETA on 2 seperate pre-orders which are now available to the public. I had a detailed response within 2 hours of my original msg. I said thankyou and moved on.
I personally have never had a bad experience in the 18 months I have been shopping with them.

I like PC because they're cheap and for the most part reliable. Their loyalty program is a nice bonus too.
I used to use Nippon Yasan until they wouldn't help me when i had a problem.
I'm happy to use whoever is reliable and cheapest.

Because of the STEEP discount on items that would otherwise be unaffordable.
If there's a toy that I absolutely must have the instant it's released, I can order it elsewhere and then pay a premium to get it early, then pay courier to get it fast. I'm going to do that for a few Christmas presents, being released in Dec.
But I don't have a lot of disposable income and have to budget. Going the RK or bigbad option means far less toys, and would make many purchases unaffordable. I scored an awesome price on MP Optimus Primal, which I would otherwise have to pass up and not get. But I'm not going to lose my head if it's not shipped this week, or next, or even this month. It's all good.
I've got to ask though, because I'm *genuinely* curious - if you're not happy with them, why are YOU buying? If you're not a recent customer, why are you hanging out in this thread even? There are many other retailers out there to choose from. If you're only into Hasbro stuff and not Takara/Third party, there's even retail.

It doesn't work -- the most recent code entered overrides the prior one.

If using the "OTCAPC" code you need to put your username that you use here on the forums into the notes section.
The 10% "supportlocal" code was announced on FB (https://www.facebook.com/premiumcollectaus/posts/1255151131173139), and reposted here on the forum. With this code you don't need to put anything into the notes, as it's only valid on one order.

My PC has been on PC all night, they are selling like hotcakes! No surprise there. I was going to get one, but went with Soundwave Superior instead, as I can always grab a MP megs 2.0 from ebay whenever.:)
