Doesn't sound right for bullcreek as I bought mine from them. Metroplex was in their normal TF section on the top shelf. If it's not there, there should be a price tag with $149.

Metroplex is available at Target Armadale, I am unable to advise how many they have as I asked for them to check out the back for me last night. The gent who served me advised he had more to bring out later that evening, so they should be on the shelf now.

Just picked up the 1 they had up the top... Like you say, likely more out back. The box was rattling with parts so much I had to open it in the car to check if anything was broken! There was a loose missile floating around...

Nope, you don't... all of the big stores (K-Mart, Big-W, Target, Myer) don't ask questions when you bring it back for refund, as long as the product is as it was sold. If it's faulty, of course it's a good thing to point it out and they will return to the distributor and not put it back on the shelf!

I am sure some people have returned items with things missing, as we occasionally spot packages like that (either that or it's stolen right inside the store!).... unfortunately it can be hard for the returns people to spot these, and the item ends up back on the shelf.

Good that you got a replacement... But actually, if you reported the fault then the normal thing for them to do would be to return to manufacturer rather than put it back on the shelf.

I am finding the lights and voice a hit and miss, After I redone my screw from the back everything seems to be working fine. So I am not going to exchange it, I am going to remove the batteries after I am done playing.

Hey guys, the CIVIC Video Rental store at Maddington has a few Transformers on sale. Some stuff from Cybertron and the Movies. Some gems included a Cybertron Deluxe Armada Optimus Prime (which I grabbed, sorry :D), a Cybertron Deluxe Jungle Optimus Prime (Primal), and a DOTM Deluxe Thundercracker.

Toys were MISB as far as I could tell, and were quite decent prices. The Cybertron deluxes were $25 and were the most expensive.

I asked and apparently the owner is a big fan who is selling part of his collection. He might even sell more in the future. I wonder if he is a member here?

Also at Toys for Kids in Malaga, there was a ROTF Leader Jetfire and Takara Jetwing Optimus and a Transformers Universe Optimus Prime with Trailer set for $120.
I could not find a SINGLE Transformer in BigW Mirrabooka either. Went up and down the aisles numerous times.:mad:

Big W Karrinyup had 3 Metroplexes left but they are shoved onto the bottom of a shelf behind a beam so they all have box damage :(

Big W Joondalup had 3 Metroplexes a few aisles to the right of the toy section on a display in the middle of the floor, there was one left with a minor damaged box on the back and 2 with front damage to the boxes.

GOOD NEWS WA PEOPLE!! MP Soundwave is now available online for WA customers to order!! I just ordered mine!

Only thing is though, it wouldn't accept the promo codes. I tried VIPBONUSOFFER and WELCOME, neither worked which sucks, because they would've pretty much eliminated the shipping costs. I've sent them a message to try to rectify but I'm not holding my breath.

You guys were a good help these last couple of days, due to FIFO if I had waited till tomorrow (as my fortnightly ritual) I would of spent the entire day wondering around Perth looking and not realized I must out on this guy.

Ordered mine this morning from the website and shipping to Mandurah was $12. When I rang around yesterday day all the stores said the generic 'Yeah its coming soon' but I managed to get out of the store guy at Morley that they had received a pallet Wednesday morning and they were going to get around to opening it last night. Yeah I think unfortunately poor Acid Storm may end up being one of those who sit on the shelf, but for the sake of stock coming to WA, I hope not. At least its highly unlikely to be like MP Rodimus, which may have in part led to our paltry supply of MP-10.

Aqua Prime and I picked up 2 of the 3 only MP Optimus Primes that TRU Cannington had in the past. I duess from 3 to 18 is an impeovement, but it still sold out in less than half a day so shame on you TRU.

Yep. It really wasnt handled very well. Pretty disastrous, but I'm relatively new to this so I didn't know if this is how it normally plays out.

Considering one of the Perth stores (Cannington) got almost as many as the entire city of Brisbane, you got a better deal than we did. :(

Brisbane has just 2 stores and 2.2 million people. We only got 20 Soundwaves, which is 1 per 110,000 people.
Perth has 4 stores and 1.9 million people. So even if the other three stores just got in 10 each, that's still at least 48 Soundwaves, equating to 1 per 40,000 people. Almost three times as many Soundwaves-per-capita than Brisbane.

I did ask TRU a few days ago for some stock numbers to each of their 35 stores, and which ones have sold out (telling them that it could help minimise harassment from people if a store had limited stock or sold out), but I doubt they will divulge those sorts of details.

You have to remember WA is bigger than NSW and VIC joint together, people from down South can't get one that easily.

Is up to them to disclose details, but I am already disappointed I have been mislead by Innaloo store and further more hearing someone managed to "reserve" one is annoying when being told they don't do it. (double standards)

Not entirely true, Singapore required YOU to be a TRU member in order to obtain one (first priority) Membership cost money over there.

Yeah OK, I think staff who seem to be clued in to the item (to be truthful, more often guys) are more likely to be right. Then again, would you trust them to have checked the back thoroughly and reconcile numbers with those on their system? If they say it's there, then that's almost certainly going to be true... but if they tell you it's not there, well... grain of salt, is what I'm saying. Or spoonful of salt if the staff is tentative and unsure.

Sadly, many staff do not seem to be given much incentive to provide good service. Sure, there are some who are very enthusiastic and helpful, but others just really look like they don't want to be there...

Sadly, many staff do not seem to be given much incentive to provide good service. Sure, there are some who are very enthusiastic and helpful, but others just really look like they don't want to be there...

The people that checked at Innaloo and Joondalup were gone for a LONG time so I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they actually went and checked.

Yeah, I'm still not sure what my own stance is about that... in a way I do understand their point of view.

I'm guilty of walking into Harvey Norman to check out refrigerators, and ask for some of their comments, only to then go and buy from Appliances Online who can undercut prices because they don't have the overheads of running stores and sales staff. It's cut-throat, and the market has a certain ruthlessness about it. On the other hand, if a store gives excellent service, I'd usually be happy to pay some degree of higher price.

In this case, it's a TRU exclusive that we simply cannot get at a better price (unless you happen to take a trip to the states), so we're stuck with them. In many other cases (almost any other TF line) TRU would be nearly the last place I'd buy from... they just don't give consistent service to make me happy to pay full retail (and this is just in comparison to department store prices, let alone cheaper online sources).

I'm all for supporting local retailers - but when they have poor range of products, salespeople who are disinterested and/or totally uninformed, and sometimes when I do want to buy locally after research online here's the result:

1. No, we don't know what that is what we have here in store is what you get.
2. They have the product but at 200% mark up.
3. Sorry what? I'm busy at the moment, but have a look around

Retailers in Australia are outdated, out of touch and simply are complacent, on-line commerce will kill them outright - why buy locally when better range, prices and products are available on-line??

Agree with prime time easily and this is coming from someone who used to own a local store. However, with small stores there's often not much you can do about it.

I work flexi so I can cover time from what I take. innaloo is like 5 mins away for me. Joondalup is another story though, Morley is possible as I did that with Metroplex and went in work late and even to my team I wasn't late.

Cannington can be my route home but after people report 0, I think I just take it as it is. Finally, just get the online deal.

Friend of mine gotten his with the voucher from the store. Lucky him.

Right ... settles one theory I've had for a while ... staggered release. I've heard them mention it before but the must do it if they know its rare. 3 Times this week Soundwaves have sold out by mid-day but we get reports the next morning that they have some in stock ... so basically if you haven't got one go camp a store.

Also still no confirmation email for Online Ordered Soundwave yet ... but probably won't be expecting anything till Tuesday now (nobody does anything on a Monday mail wise)
