Myer Carousel have a heap is SS86 deluxe. Prob about 5 of each. Nothing much else at Carousel unless you are army building Blackarachnias. Toymate has a tonne of Kingdom deluxes and voyagers including Cyclonus. No Megstron that I could see.

When new releases gets posted as news on our fb page, I prefer have photos of them in the store or with the receipt (if possible), to prevent people derailing the news topic by disputing the info, or claiming that the toys could have been bought online.
Other sites do it too, so it isn't just us.

I love that face. And Blurr's. And Cyclonus'. At long last mainline TF toys are actually getting faces. Generally, TFs have a set of features that are pretty much identical except for a few (small) changes to proportions or the lack / addition of something (so a plate instead of a lower face, or a visor instead of eyes). How many TFs can you identify from their facial features alone, once you've removed the helmet and any other bits and bobs on the head?

They spose to be embargoed til the 29th. Most stores would have stock. Just holding them out the back. According to my Myer staff.

Generally the only time there is an embargo date is the release of a new Movie toyline.

Other toylines that have a documented release date/month by Hasbro are estimates of when stores should end up getting the stock from Hasbro, and are spaced apart to help make sure retailers have had enough time to clear out older stock, even if the stock arrives early at the Hasbro warehouse. Generally the stock gets sent out as soon as it arrives at Hasbro... to be put out for sale straight away.
Those other toys or toylines that aren't supposed to be found in stores globally until a certain month just don't get sent out to stores until then... and once in retailers hands, they can do whatever they want with them.

Myer SS86 Grims seem to be an enigma. I had a conversation with a Myer Carousel lady about 2 weeks ago. I had asked about SS86 Grimlock and she said "Is it a new one?" And I said yes. Then she said there was something new coming out but they couldn't release it yet before some "soon" date. I assumed she was talking about Grim or maybe WFC Kingdom. Maybe she was talking rubbish, who knows?

A few weeks ago, I went to Myer Booragoon and asked "Do you have Studio Series Leader Class?" And the girl there said "Grimlock?"* Then she went on about people phoning in and how she sold a couple that week. (Maybe it was spiky, not cutesy, Grimlock... I didn't ask further). She then proceeded to look it up on the computer and found some stock at 3 Myers in Perth. Nobody here posted about finding them, so who knows?

It's strange that someone in the Melbourne City store got a Grimlock a few days ago but Perth would hold back? I can't make heads or tails of what Myer is doing.

The lady actually showed me the SS86 Grimlock to confirm it was the one I was after. But she said she can’t sell it til the 29th. No idea behind their reasoning. Another few months and they will be shelfwarming everywhere. Just like the deluxes that are at Carousel now. :rolleyes:

There shouldn't be an embargo date... it is just a new wave of Leader class Studio Series.

Generally the only time there is an embargo date is the release of a new Movie toyline.

Other toylines that have a documented release date/month by Hasbro are estimates of when stores should end up getting the stock from Hasbro, and are spaced apart to help make sure retailers have had enough time to clear out older stock, even if the stock arrives early at the Hasbro warehouse. Generally the stock gets sent out as soon as it arrives at Hasbro... to be put out for sale straight away.
Those other toys or toylines that aren't supposed to be found in stores globally until a certain month just don't get sent out to stores until then... and once in retailers hands, they can do whatever they want with them.

Looks like I was wrong (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php/27770)... I got word back and Hasbro have indeed given the wave 2 Kingdom toys a global embargo date of April 1st. Stores here and overseas that have already started selling them, either don't care or aren't able to enforce the embargo.

The second wave has also been found at Toyworld stores, but Since Toyworld sell things by price-tag instead of barcode, the stores wont know about an embargo date and will just sell what is out on the shelf.
So until the end of the month, Toyworld may end up being the only store that is selling them, at their higher prices.

Anything new usually does get sold pretty quickly but yeah I have noticed that its getting thinner with the stock. I do know they were having problems with their suppliers late last year/early this year but I haven't talked to them for a few months.

I went there Friday hoping for a Dinobot and was I little let down by their stock. They have occasionally had some newer figs. Wave1 KD deluxes were all there a few weeks ago. Also the place I bought ER Optimus and the only place I saw it in the wild.
Think the physical size of the store contributes to it feeling a bit sparse.
Going to pop by next week to see if a Dinobot shows up....

BigW Joondalup this morn

I had a click&collect Rodimus and was in a rush so apologies for the limited info. In the TF display (out in a main aisle, no TFs anymore where they used to be) I couldn't see any Rodimus or even a space/pricetag for them. Had a good few SS Grimlock, Kingdom Megatron, Dinobot and Inferno, and a heap of the smaller figures.

More toy sections at front of the store I didn't look through, but at a glance there didn't appear to be TFs there.

Edit: checking BigW site, it still lets you click and collect Rodimus for Joondalup, same as when I ordered yesterday it still says out of stock for Joondalup also/no delivery option.

Edit 2: Reading other state threads, someone mentioned there was an assortment of Rodimus figures not among any other transformers but in the big 'toymania' section near the entrance. They had the same setup and Joondalup so possible he could be found in there.

Saw Airazor at Target Innaloo on 12 June but not there today (just remnants of wave 2). This wave came out a few months ago when Myer first had it (at their promo of $25) and I saw her at Carousel and CBD then. Myer and Target Carousel on 15 June had wave 2 remnants. Kmart over east is getting wave 2 now, so I'd look at Kmart, Target and Myer.

Big W Kingsway had about a half dozen Rodimus Prime in stock at sale price just before closing today (Saturday 19/6). Most on display right by the entrance and 1 tucked away behind some Cyberverse stuff in the aisle.

They wouldn't scan though (tried 2), so be prepared for a bit of palaver with the staff manually entering codes into the checkout if they haven't got it fixed.
