Yup, this was reported yesterday that online was no longer available, I even took it on the chin and just bought Acid storm online which is also no longer available. I did say Morley was the ONLY hope left which sold out today.

Box has corner dents but that's not too bad to me. Soundwave himself is fantastically engineered, and Laserbeak is very smartly done... overall the feel of the plastic is a little disappointing actually, and inferior to third party stuff we've had recently, and also inferior to MP-10 going from memory (will have to compare later).

I think the mold is excellent... Definitely better than the original MP Seeker mold IMO. Too bad the only way to get Starscream ATM is the expensive Takara one, and there's no Skywarp as yet. You might enjoy the mold in TC colours even more if you can get your hands on one! If there's a Hasbro release of the other 2 guys, I might not be able to resist...

Yes, but these are in 'original' MP Seeker mold as I mentioned... which I think is not as good as the current mold. The only SS available in the new mold is a Takara one, and not cheap. There is no Hasbro version of SS or SW in the new mold... Yet!

Depends what you prefer in the molds, The newer seeker mold is superior as far as the robot goes but I think the jet mode was superior in the old mold;)

Yeah, from what I have seen I think the case can easily be made that the old jet mode was a bit better... but I reckon the improvements in the new robot mode (head sculpt, legs that stand, getting rid of waist kibble, and arm weapons on armatures) outweight the minor shortfalls of the new jet mode. So for me... it's a very easy choice.

Overall, I think we did a good job to limit the scalping. But more importantly just about anyone who wanted to own one was able to buy one from TRU. Even you guys over in WA! Unlike in the US where heaps of MP SW went immediately on eBay as soon as it was available online at TRU USA. I think what worked in our favour was that there was no official launch date in Australia.

I'm waiting for the release of the TF4 figures in March/April next year. Part of me is hoping they'll be shite, because my wallet has taken a pretty big hit this financial year. Hopefully they'll have some good looking, well engineered characters in their toyline though. I quite like the Bayverse figures for their puzzleformer characteristics. Next issue is where on earth to store them!

This calendar year has been very good so far for the transformers toyline, it will be interesting to see what HasTak have planned for next year.

I've actually found that Coles is the better spot for Legion while Woolies has had all the commanders, seriously, as far as Geraldaton (was there last weekend to catch up with mates) found Air Vehicon, all the combiners (except for Hun-gurr) prowl, smokescreen. And to boot it was on special for $4.90.

Scooby Drew (the owner) has been using a particular distributor which by the time he gets the stock has a markup through the roof due to shipping. When I commented to him on that overpriced (yet now reasonable) price for Soundwave MP was bad I was informed that RGG would be changing distributors for MPs, apparently he still had a couple of orders left with the existing distributors which he wasn't aware of, hence the price.

He's still trying to find a new distributor for MPs that doesn't gut him on shipping and is aware that these ain't likely to sell for a while. Feel free to talk to him about the price, he'll relate the story :) And truth of the matter is someone who isn't as mad as us will grab them eventually, one day, over the rainbow.

Well good luck, even if a store needs to pay rent and overheads, such pricing is way over board. You cannot expect me as a member here to just say "yes that's a reasonable price" That would be really almost a bit of a complete slender. I be completely pretending to be a dumb arse giving thumbs up to support local.

Remember, this is a G2 masterpiece not the first sideswipe and even if it is, is really priced too high. (even for tourist)

End of the day is a business but such a price, I think is not worth mentioning, it probably will do more harm than any good. Sometimes you have to learn things the hard way, and unfortunately I cannot just let this go as a member "repeated it TWICE" as if it was a good bargain? Which is why I asked, Who is so crazy here in Ozformers forum to buy them?
$150 gets you a Soundwave mp or SoundBlaster.

There isn't a need to let the owner know, if he doesn't know then there isn't much hope. Like you said it be shelve warmed for a long time. Before it was Red Griffin, I bought Binaltech from them at 80-90 bucks, that is reasonable even at mark up. But this piece at double the price? With plenty of sources still selling below the $100 mark just tells me to avoid them completely.

I don't expect people to sell at a loss, but just because a bad business decision is made, it doesn't justify trying to gain profit. And if you telling me $150 is breaking even, then he really need to wake up.

The one key thing you should let him know now is, if I were NOT even to know this thread, and I walked into his store and saw this price, and I reflect to EBay's pricing and see it is that much difference in price, I will not enter the store ever again for any Transformers. So it might end up hurting him just trying to gain back something.

Well actually, I asked the staff member to open the box on the roll cage, looked at one, and decided to leave it at the self-checkout. $49? Nah.

Decided this morning that I might grab it, went back but only the deluxes (Crosshairs, Bumblebee, Scorn and Slug) and the easy change models were on shelf. Went back to the counter and it was still in the "back to floor" stock.

Opened it, transformed it, and it's missing a pin on the inside front of the truck cab. It's being returned, and I'm not rebuying it. I knew the figure was ugly, and the truck cab itself is nice, however the back "legs" of the cab are ugly as all hell.

Tuesday afternoon Kmart Morley had the AoE quick-changers, a deluxe Crossfire and titan Grimlocks and Optimus with no price tags on the shelves

Wednesday afternoon it had the price tags but no toys on the shelves.

Visiting the West this week, and here's what I've found so far:

The Target in Fremantle had the deluxes and the simple large one steppers. CBD Target has only those large ones.

Both stores have peg warming legion Airachnid (like back home) but noticed today that the newer packaging ones (the Euro ones I think with the vehicle mode picture on the front) have a lighter face paint app and makes the toy look better.

K Mart (Morley) has pulled their AOE stock. The lady on the phone said they would be back out from the 12th.

Make sure you do some sightseeing. The "Perth region" is quite spectacular for tourists.
I lived there for several years, and love going back there to sightsee.

I think you mean the Fast Action Battlers - I mistakenly bought the Strafe without looking closely. At least now I have him on my work desk, and when Real Strafe comes out, he can live with the others.

A quick note: just had to email Hasbro Aus re: QC on Kre-O. First time I've had pieces missing, in two different sets. Volcanicon was missing one of his upper-arm/thigh pieces (and I had a spare, luckily); the other, not so lucky - my Jarugar was missing his head piece, but came with two windshield pieces.

Sadly, Hasbro Aus can't help with individual pieces on these sets (whereas Lego is pretty good about it). So if you're missing pieces, don't bother contacting them for a replacement :/

I'm gonna try to get another Jarugar, and use this one for pieces.. those little thighs are really hard to find extras of!

If they get a lot of people with missing parts or faulty toys, then they might just realise how bad their products can be... or see if there was a problem with an entire batch (like the Construct Bots Starscreams having a half-painted head).

Also... if you have parts missing, take it back to the store and get an exchange (which you are entitled to by Law). And if stores get too many returns of a particular product or Brand, they will start complaining to the supplier, who is more likely to fix the problem to appease *their* customers. (we are not Hasbro's customers, so the people who are their customers are the ones who can get them to fix a problem)

I too had missing parts from my Series 3 Long Haul (but not any to prevent displaying as robot). Contacted Hasbro and was told the same things; can't provide replacements and for me to please return it to store where purchased and seek replacement. As I knew there were no others left (and hadn't seen them anywhere else) I replied letting them know I'd be keeping it as I'd rather have it than not at all. Surprisingly they sent me 2 Wave 1 Microchangers as a thanks for supporting the line... sure not a replacement and I already had them but was pleased they made the gesture. (They claim I'm in their database should they source any replacements down the track... I'm not holding my breath).

Toyworld Balcatta had Leader Grimlock for $100, and Evasion Mode Prime for $55. I passed on both, at those prices. They also have the new Construct-Bot Dinobots and smaller figures.
