Myer CBD had Prime Vgrs tonight for 36.95 considering their catalogue price is 44.95 and their shelf price is 59.95 I'd say this was a stuff up though it might provide an opportunity for some to pickup Wave 2 pieces at a reasonable price. In saying that though Myer CBD now only has Vgr Primes left.

Target Joondalup has a few Prime OP and BB Weaponisers, left 'em there. They also had Special Ops Ratchet (DotM repaint), was tempted but couldn't justify another (even though IMO he looks better than the original colour)...

They MAY have also had MP Thundercracker. DOA asked if they had MP Optimus Prime, with the girl he asked asking him back if it was Thunderstorm he was after. We didn't bother to ask her if she did have Thundercracker, but I proceeded to joke about Thunderstorm for the next 15 mins :p

I was there around 2:30-ish. Didn't see any on shelf and there wasn't an empty spot. I asked a staff if they had any Masterpiece Optimus Prime at the back. He asked another girl and she told me they couldn't sell it yet. She said it's going to be featured in a catalogue for a sale starting on the 31st this month. She also said they received 8 for the Cannington store and further restock will be unlikely.

I put my name down for it on Monday I think. But went in to Cannington yesterday, asked some guy if they had any out the back, he went out and checked, came back and said not until November.:confused:
So 5 minutes after I got home I got a phone call and was told they have just arrived off the loading dock. I was actually very SHOCKED that they even bothered to phone me so quickly. .....she deserves a medal for doing that.

She was the same girl I spoke to. I think it's very clear. She probably reserved for the people who phoned in, but the stock was running out so she's saving some for the sale on 31st. I don't think we want to get someone into trouble over a toy for their good intention, so I would suggest not mentioning her name on the forum. Just being careful.

I find the limited numbers of these items almost laughable, Hasbro's performance in general has been abysmal for the supply of waves of the regular release items. Now they are dropping the ball with such limited numbers on items supposedly more aimed at the collector, I know they had issues with some of the MP line at TRU but I think that was more price orientated than demand. This is why I no longer actively run around from store to store anymore chasing items as all it does is waste my petrol. I have now gone back to collecting other things (Except for the items I get off members) like Microman and Saint Seiya.

Yes Kyle gave me a ring this morning as he went down pretty early (Around 9:00am I think or earlier)and they were already sold out O_o. I'll put it down to pathetic stocking of an item and not a huge rush, 8 was all they had originally I think which I believe 2 of our members managed to get before they were on the shelves. 6 items for a sale, Speaks volumes as far as I 'm concerned, I'm leaning towards what you are doing nyerk and buying online but this item isn't high on my collecting wants, It was more of a case of the convenience of actually just going down to the local shop. Some of you know me as AquaPrimes brother and I've most probably shook hands with you at Nexus one time or other.

I know what went down at TRU Cannington Wednesday morning because I was there. I was also there the afternoon 2 were sold at first, then they magically they ran out of stock before the sale. I went in there planning to get 2 MP Primes for aqua and myself. I was expecting none or a sea of them just in time and to last for the sale period. What did I find? 3 MP Primes and 3 MP Thundercrackers ( no MP Thunderstorms for aqua's amusement lol).

There was a dude that got in to the shelves in front of me, that got me nervous, but he grabbed one of each. That left 2 MP Primes and MP Thundercrackers left, and with myself originally planning to one for aqua AND I like I originally did, I grabbed those. So wtf? They stock 3 MP Prime and 3 MP Thundercrackers for a sale that's suppose to last till 13 November and knowing well before that there's been a lot of calls, questions and interest in these figures.

I am really sorry because I hate for anyone in this fandom to miss out. I really do hope there is more stock coming out in future and i hate that you guys maybe be missing out because of this kinda stuff up. Aqua even called in on the Monday as asked around and was told to not even come in on the Wednesday and try the weekend. TRU just ain't what it use to be.

Yep I dropped in on Monday, hoping, *just in case* they may have some out or I could find a helper that could "hook a brother up". Got told they don't have him and "to try back mid to early November" I was actually expecting there to be none for the sale.

I feel that the way TRU has handled this whole thing was a complete fiasco, and it sucks that people have missed out getting him. Trust me it sucks being the recipient of both MP Prime and Thundercracker (sadly no Thunderstorms) to hear that everyone else is as annoyed and peeved off as I was earlier in this thread. It kind of makes it bitter sweet, but if there's some silver lining to this cloud, at least we screwed the scalpers out of 2 OP and TC. That's no consolation to everyone that missed out. If I see them pop up again I'll try and grab them for you guys that missed out.

I agree. As long as the people buying multiples are buying them to help out other collectors here, and not to just resell them for profit, I don't think too many people here will be too upset about it.

It sucks missing out on a rare item (it happens to me as well... mostly because I'm too lazy to run around for a toy :o ), but it doesn't suck as much if I knew that it was a scalper buying them up.

From a business perspective maybe their intention was always to only sell a few to build up the hype and demand only to see it satisfied after the promotion, when they can make some serious coin.

Having said that, I could be giving them too much credit. Either way TRU is making a fortune from these, whether it be selling for $130 or $150 when you see it selling for $99 in the US. And that's $US, not $AU. So even lower still at our rates. Even after you add the cost of shipping, which would be minimal considering how much stock they would import, we're still being ripped off royally.

I am glad I managed to acquire one before they all sold out, however I have read that the quality is not that of Takara standard. It is certainly noticeable with some paint apps scratched or scuffed and one of the cab lights (above windows) has a chip on the end. Last time I checked they were closed on Sundays, but in previous years they have been open in the lead up to Christmas.
Safest thing to do would be to ring them to A check they're open B that they still have the Combaticons and C that they can hold them for you.
There is also a Kalamunda Toyworld, but that is even more of a hike.

I just called Empire they have completely sold out of Sideswipe and Red Alert, they also advised they will not be getting any more.
Though they did state MP Soundwave is expected in the next two weeks.

FOC wave 3 deluxes finally spotted at K-mart Midland Gate!

All 5 were out - the figures look FAR better than wave 1, with the large weapons & better paint, so I just couldn't resist getting them! 1 each left of Starscream, Magnus, Kickback, and Sideswipe (I got the only Air Raid).

Still one TFP Voyager Starscream sitting there.

The Starscream FOC wave was at Morley Target today, plus two Prime Knock Outs and a Hot Shot.

There's heaps of DOTM deluxes at the Reject Shop in Rocky City Shopping center.
Including Air Raid. After I searched hi and low for him, and had to get him from USA, he turns up in the reject shop for $12. :mad::mad::mad:
Since its such an awesome mould, I'm thinking of getting one to customise.
And a TopSpin just for the weapons.

There was a Darksteel and and Air Raid at the Mirrabooka Reject shop this evening. They are at the back in the store's toy aisle, not in the front display (I cleaned that one out :D)

What an interesting sale from Reject Shops...

Karawara branch have 2 Darksteels, 1 Ratchet, 1 Nitro Bee & 1 Cyberfire Bee left. I picked up the 1 Topspin they had.

Reject Shop website says they no longer deal with factory seconds/rejects, but the Cyberfire Bee I also got sure feels like a 'reject' - one of the leg joints was super loose, like there's some serious plastic missing!
