POTP wave 2 deluxes at K-Mart Frankston. Didn’t see Moonracer, but they have one each of Sludge and Snarl, and a few Rippersnappers. $35 each, but you could try your luck at price matching Big W.

In Melbourne CBD around lunchtime, Big W still has only TR Cosmos and Seaspray, and nothing else TR or POTP related. Target has a few POTP Jazz and Dreadwind but nothing else TR or POTP. It has some RID items too. Myer still has lots of POTP Hungrr and Elita-1, and some later wave TR Titanmasters.

Chadstone TRU had about 25 Thundercrackers, maybe one or two more, and about as many Starscreams. HEaps of TLK Voyager Hound too and several each of the Dreads from TLK and Studio Series. Only POTP toys they had were 4 Dreadwinds. They had two TF posters too - that G1 version (with the all yellow Bumblebee) and a TLK one.

The Toyworld had the wave 1 Cyberverse toys spotted elsewhere. $42 Warriors (Bumblebee, Optimus and Starscream) and $15 Legion size (Starscream, Megatron, Bumblebee), $22 One-Steps (Bumblebee, Soundwave and Blurr). They also had a bunch of Dragonstorms (as spotted at other stores) but at full price of $95.

Unless you're looking for a TLK Beserker or Hound there's not much left on the Transformer shelves at the TRU stores over the weekend (please don't work out how many KMs I did!)

Frankston's store still had some POTP wave 1 stuff.
Knox's store had no Transformers left, store almost emptied
Chadstone had the Hounds and Beserkers and some Studio Starscreams
Waurn Ponds had a couple of the TLK toys (30% off action figures)
Werribee had a few dregs on the shelf, store almost emptied

Went to the Moorabin store last week, same sorts of things left there. From my visits to that store I never saw the exclusive Barricades or Thundercrackers there and definitely none at the shops above.

Looking at some of the other toylines, often the same sorts of things still on the shelf - heaps of Vulture toys from Spider-man Homecoming for instance, nobody buying the Marvel Legends Songbird (she's a great character but obscure to non-comic books fans). Quite a lot of TLJ Star Wars stuff in most stores too.

I asked them if I could price match it with Big W when Big W had their Toy Mania sale and they allowed it. So I got him for $24. No signs of Snarl or Sludge when I picked up Blackwing in case you were wondering, I think someone got to them first.

It's weird. A couple weekends ago at Target (in Highpoint) I saw a headless Agent Venom and Vulture. Didn't think much of it at first. Just thought it might have been the doing of some crazy douchebag who thought it'd be funny (it's not, it's gonna be impossible for the store to sell the toy in that state). Last week at Big W I saw another decapitated Vulture.

To see more headless Spider-Man toys in that photo you took was a bit of a shock, especially since they're from stores at the opposite end of Melbourne where I shop. Made me wonder for a bit if the figures are just like that. But it doesn't make sense for Hasbro to intentionally sell headless figurines. People must be vandalizing them I think.

MY QUESTION:

Hi guys,

I was wondering why your Doncaster store never has any Transformers products and barely has any of the WWE products. These are the main ranges I look at for myself and my kids.

Other than the clearance Transformers figures recently, Doncaster would normally barely have one or two figures. Since the clearance stock has been sold they have had none for a couple of months.

With Toys R Us gone from Doncaster, the options are pretty thin so I would have thought you would want to try and fill the void a bit. I go to Eastland and Lilydale Big W when I can and they always have a much better range of toys than the Doncaster store.

There are also four K-Marts and three Targets I check regularly to try and find figures. K-Mart is miles ahead of Big W on Transformers and WWE and Target is a fair way ahead.

Is there any reason why Doncaster seems to never have stock? It isn't like they don't have room. There are whole shelves empty on multiple bays in multiple rows.

Hi Nate,

It is not a matter of inconvenience in travelling to the store. The inconvenience is the store never has any of the products.

I had a look yesterday and there are now 5 Transformers hanging on a hook in a mostly empty bay. I would argue though, that considering these figures were first seen in Australia in April this year and are at least a wave of figures behind the current release wave that it is not the popularity of the product that is the issue here. It is hardly surprising more people are buying things online from overseas when there is no guarantee that local retailers will even stock them.

I understand you have no control over any of this but hopefully one day someone who does may do something about it.

It’s a revision wave for late in the year that they’re in, isn’t it? I just ordered my wave 2 besides Moonracer at BBTS. Rippersnapper’s on sale and it saves the worry.

I found some of the wave 2 Deluxes at Big W in Sunbury a few weeks back (they’re all gone now) so some Big Ws at least seem to be getting them. (in small numbers) But most big Ws seem to just be devoid of any transformers altogether.

For those attending madman anime festival gofigure collectables was there, they had the following

-SDCC throne of the primes ($229-same as their store listing)
-Ironhide wave CW figures
-UW bruticus (can't remember but was close to $300?)
-Some old prime figures of vary cost and may have been a bit much

Another stall with the retro games also had some transformers stuff but I suspect the armada prime they had was a bootleg as the box mention something about a gumball machine, didn't bother with the price because the stall was over priced

Target CBD has the Bumblebee movie toys on the trolleys, about to be put on shelves, I think. I saw the large BB, and two cases of Igniters. I checked the open cases for price tags on the items, but didn’t see any. The transformable Igniter BB looks nice.

I went to Waverley Gardens and Endeavour Hills today.

No Terrorcons at either, but WG Big W had two each of SS Jazz and Lockdown.

The various stores had a mix of Bumblebee and Cyberverse line figures I was seeing for the first time. I wanted to get the new movie legion Bumblebee but only Kmart had that (and three dollar more than a Target price I saw in one of the other threads.

Reject shop at EH also had a few TLK legions.

Paid a visit to Watergardens today.

Target there didn't have any PotP Wave 3 deluxes, just the usual wave 1. But they did have the Legion-sized Bumblebee movie figures (VW Bumblebee and Optimus Prime). There was also Studio Series Megatron and Brawl.

At Toyworld, I saw the usual PotP Wave 1 Deluxes and a Studio Series Megatron.

Nothing interesting at Big W.

Sadly no. Only wave 1 studio series deluxe. Still searching for a Deluxe VW Bee myself. Will let you know if I find any around.
