When new stock arrives into the country, fresh from the shipping container, it sometimes gets sent out to a store before it is allowed to (if it has an global embargo date)... and for some reason Toyworld seems to be the one that ends up getting most of these "leaked" toys, and then we don't see more anywhere here until they are officially allowed to be released to retailers months later.

There must be something wrong with Hasbro Australia's inventory system, that accidentally releases stock to Toyworld as soon as it arrives, instead of when it is allowed to be sent out to retailers... and then there is a mad scramble for them to chase up the stores that got the stock, to remove any that hasn't already been sold.

Most times it is Movie gimmick toys, but when it is a highly sought after toy like this one, a small number of very lucky people get their hands on one before they are removed from sale... for a bit of online fame, or ebay fortune.

Maybe have a look around at some stores like Toyworld (especially in Melbourne), in case some others slipped out from the Hasbro warehouse before they noticed... but don't obsess too much looking for them until at least July/August.

If it is a small store, maybe the didn't get one. The Brisbane CBD store often doesn't get a lot of the stuff that shows up in other stores, because it isn't very big.
Perhaps ask at the customer service desk for someone from toys to tell you if they got one (and have a photo of the display on your phone to show them).

Big-W - no leaders at all (I am quite certain that the 3 Magnuses, at least as many Megatrons, and perhaps 8 Grimlocks that were there a bit over a week ago did not sell, so where did they go?). The rest of the sale stock is mostly just sitting there (including at least the second Rodimus they've put on the shelf). I really don't see that many Studio Series Starscreams moving (or, honestly, the dozen or so other voyagers). Some oversized toys aimed at 3-year-olds. And those blasted 2-year-old cyberverse ultras (Slipstream and Shockwave) are still there...

Target - scraps of Kingdom and Cyberverse. Doesn't seem worth even going in there now.

Kmart - Siege leftovers, older Kingdom stuff, newer Netflix stuff (someone took the dead Datsun, of all things...), a bunch of SS86.

Even here in NZ where we almost never get anywhere near enough stock on shelves to cover the fan demand for stuff, those Bumblebee and Spike packs are just sitting there filling up 2 entire rows.

Lobos Collectables: It's not especially transformery but it's worth a gawk.

Shopforme.com.au: Worth a gawk for LEGO, not sure if the physical store is open since they closed last year for the Pandemic.

Otherwise there's a Kmart, Big W and Myer in the CBD and a Kmart at Victoria Gardens (Richmond). There's also quite a few LEGO branded stores around now at Highpoint, Doncaster and Chadstone but I can't imagine them being much different to the ones in Sydney.

Been all over Melbourne over the last 8 days and after 15 or 16 Kmarts have not found Cosmos. Clampdown rare but I saw one. The rest? Generally gettable.

Searching for Cosmos has hurt me though and I’m disappointed in Hasbro for their short packing decision and for Kmart’s low order numbers - have not seen more than 1 case of deluxes at any store. I’ve been strongly considering giving up collecting so good work doing that to someone who has supported your brand non stop since 1985, wish that they would even care.

Don't give it up Paulbot. I think there will be more Cosmos eventually since other countries like the UK and Asia get the whole case of 8 Cosmos, even Walmart in the US gets 8 Cosmos per case. In America, it was priced as a Voyager (maybe by accident), but since it was a Target exclusive, there were no other options. (even Hasbro Pulse website had it priced as a Voyager)

Yeah, it's not surprising that the price is so much higher, considering it's price in America... but that's still better than it could have been, as I was expecting Voyager pricing here like in America.
I guess we can be happy about that.

There isn't anything significant included with this *redeco* to warrant it being priced as a Voyager, but it's clearly at a much higher (wholesale) price-point in America and here.

Is the Velocitron line meant to be exclusive at local retail?

(Velocitron Blurr must have the ugliest vehicular mode a TF has ever had, IMO. The front chassis is just revolting.)

2 of the Trainbots from 2001 RiD are at cash converters in Moonee ponds. They are the American versions (not released here) and are still in boxes. I think they are $60 each.

A non-sighting: have been looking for Crasher and Shadowstrip and: not at Richmond or Chadstone on Friday, not Stud Park, Endeavour Hills, Dandenong or Parkmore on Saturday, still none at Chadstone on Monday, and nothing at Clayton or Burwood today.

Still haven’t seen a single Cosmos in store either.

Wave 2 deluxes have finally arrived at Big W Mildura (but not at Kmart or Target), but you'd never know it - someone put the whole case a the back of a mid-low shelf and then put a bunch of other toys (largely wave 1 voyagers and Bumblebee stuff) in front of them.
