That's weird cos I called in there earlier (after Ikea:D) and didn't see any. They did have the little tiny G1, Prime, and movie 30th figures with collectors cards though. Picked up the 5 G1 Soundwave, Ratchet, Starscream, Optimus and Megatron.

Ldr BB is a different size box and not packed in the same case as OP and Grimmy. Ldr OP and Grimmy are packed in equal quantities per case, but I will agree I myself have seen many more OPs on shelf over Grimmy. I would suggest this will be the result of in one way or another be the fourth leader iteration of OP and parents are opting to purchase Grmlock instead.

2nd wave of AoE Deluxes all available (Strafe, Slash, Drift)... they had labels on for $24.99 for "Deluxe Attackers" (whatever that is) but the items scanned for $29.99. I insisted that it's clearly an error so got the $5 off, not sure if it truly is an error but whatever.

Also 2nd wave Voyagers there as well, although only 2 Galvatrons and 1 Hound left that I saw. Galvatron is one ugly fella though! The labels stated Voyagers were discounted to $39... 2nd wave Voyagers didn't scanned but I pointed out the price tag and they let me have it at that price. If a Leader didn't scan they probably would've given it to me too for $39!! :cool:

So I picked up a Hound and Drift. Not interested in those wave 2 psychedelic dinosaurs myself...

AFAIK this is the first time we have seen the FoC Voyager Grimlock mould in retail here... mould is average IMO. FoC colours are allright... this repaint looked good in photos to some extent but actually looks rather lousy in person!!

Wave 2 AoE Gens were in K-Mart mandurah (I grabbed the last three), however if you pop over to Target Meadow Springs they have quite a bit of all the latest stuff.

Top Gear Top Tip: Don't go the regular isle, keep walking to entertainment and on the left if your usually Transformer cardboard cutout stuff. The Deluxe stuff is on the side that's against something so you have to move it to get to it, I asked why they did this and they said they had a sale coming up and they wanted to save them for that. So if your keen grab em now, or wait till the sale starts (Don't know the dates) and take your chances.

Went to Toyworld Midland yesterday is what I think was my first attempt to buy a Transformer at retail since late 2011.

Moribund, is a word I'm going to use.

About 5 tonnes of the kiddy stuff (two steps, flip and change, power battlers and all that). If you're into that kind of thing head on down because there is heaps of that there.

Of the main line stuff I counted

1x AOE Leader Grimlock
2x FOC Voyager Soundwave
2x BH Voyager Predaking
2x AOE Deluxe Slug (hiding way the Christ behind a bunch of the other stuff)

My quest to not import the AOE Voyager Grimlock (or do something stupid like pay a lot for the Lawson G1 repaint) goes on.

So I was just doing some maths. There are 33 TRU nationwide. 4 are in WA. 4 stores x 4 Grimlocks per store equals 16 Grimlocks out of 400 that were supposed to be available. If we average 400 Grimlocks across all 33 stores it works out to 12 units per store. So what happened with the distribution?

If we assume that all 33 stores only got 4 units ( I don't know if this is true, just a poorly based assumption), then that leaves 268 units unaccounted for. I really am wondering if at least 100 units are going to be made available online, or if there will be more pallets with MP Grimlocks being delivered in the next few days/weeks?

I talked to a few of the Toys R Us staff yesterday (In ACT) and they said if they sell out of the 4 allocated they can call Head Office and request more. So if you are after another ask the staff to order in more. :D

Yeah only that when I check out with sunstorm it came to $145 which I bought the takara version instead. Might be worth it if you bundle with grimlock otherwise is a no go for just one figure.

I too was on the fence whether I needed yet another Seeker repaint though decided to get him anyway and he looks absolutely awesome, pictures do not do his colour or flame design justice. I personally prefer him to Acid Storm.

Good news and bad news

Perth Comics Centre has deluxe generations back in stock (I saw Rat-trap, the mini-con combiner, Scoop and Skywarp) oh and Tankor

Bad news is they're up from $30 to $40.

At the back of the store I saw voyager Roadbuster and Springer for $65 each. There were other voyager boxes behind them but I didn't check them.

Yeah it seems worth popping into this place every now and then to have a look what they got on the shelves. Generations Skids is a minor steal for $40 as it was nigh on impossible to find it any less than $50 on the after market, and online retailers are pretty much sold out.

Having said that I see there is ONE eBay seller (Victorian based!) who's got it at a good price...
