The recent Encores are getting bigger (Omega & Metroplex) & I'm pretty sure a TakaraTomy feasibility study would find that the demand would be very high amongst the adult TF customer base, more than justifying production costs (as long as the final price isn't too high).

Very nice piece of work, I think the paint would look a lot more dull in real light. The sheen is great for robot mode but makes the alt mode look extremely tacky.

Personally, my theory is that they are NOT repaints, but rather KOs with dodgy paint and this is how he covers himself should something escalate to a dispute. He has done this numerous times in the past with BT KOs.

I had the same thought as Jaydisc. I'm pretty sure that it is a KO/counterfeit Sunstorm, not a custom job. I do recall seeing listings for Sunstorm reproductions, and this is most likely that, especially since that dealer is known for KOs and not for customs.

I've bought alot of stuff from Marrine_vs_hydralisk. His got alot of top-notch stuff. But his shipping time is a bit atrocious. I got the MISB nightbeat off him for 70usd back in the day. With regards to the nightbeat, its not the english version, its dutch or something. His got about 50 misb nightbeats LITERALLY. but the quality of all of them will at most get you a 80 AFA grade (if your lucky), alot of warping etc. His also got alot of prototypes. i.e. g2 motormasters etc. I believe the last motormaster he sold was for about 8000 USD on the bay.

Its not my sale. All the combiners are all overpriced, except for predaking and piranacon, but they will become overpriced soon, its just a matter of time.

I made a huge profit on the partially complete combiners last time round. I was laughing!

My predaking had only the 5 bots, divebomb was missing its wing. The set went for 160...

Computron had only the 5 bots, lightspeed was missing the front bit. That set went for 120...

Even though i'm really against knockoffs, especially G1 knockoffs, i dont mind if they have reasonable pricing i.e. 5-10 bucks for a KO devastator.

But I CANNOT STAND IT when they try to fool people with ridiculous pricing, when i first started colelcting, i bought a KO devastator for 50 usd. i did not know until later. When i later found out, in a rage of fit, i smashed it into pieces, and went into a tirade to the seller, who was from portugal who claimed he knew nothing of the toys. bs!!

The japanese version is much more desirable and valuable. HOWEVER, i must stress that these individual ones from memory DO NOT come with the combiner components. I may be wrong. BUT this is DEFINITELY true for the european gold reissue versions otherwise known as motorvators.

i didnt manage to sell my full botcon 2007 loose set when it was a set together in 2 auctions. when i separated them...i've managed to sell Thrust for $250 and Dreadwing for $200. That leaves me with Dirge, Thundercracker and Bugbite....

so i guess demand for any botcon figures is still there, just how much buyers are willing to pay.

Holy sh-t... thats like gone brown. And FFS seller, Fort max DOES NOT cost 50 AUD to ship. Costed me 25 Registered to ship it to digger from sydney to melbourne and thats was with about 800 grams of packing material. All these sellers trying to make profit on shipping FFS.

Wow the pic of the fort max standing next to the foam really highlights the damage. Maybe he tried to give it the "deep fry" effect by throwing it into a vat of hot oil.
