Yes it has been posted here in this thread and it has been relisted on ebay time and time again. But at least the seller is dropping the price each time her relists cos no one is gonna buy that broken spear and broken shield version for the original asking price of 1,500USD or so... fark that....

Yep i've just had mine returned also. i've had to take the plunge from BBTS and order the remaining 4 voyagers that we wont otherwise get.

They're still up for pre-order at $49.99 for a set of two (Shockwave, skywarp, wreck-gar & atomic lugnut) but not available individually at this stage.

but its still US retail price as far as i'm aware and even loose shockwave gets over $30US on ebay:eek:

Shipping will likely hurt though so i'm going to build a mass pile of loot to soften the blow

There seems to be an issue with Wreck-Gar/Shockwaves from US sellers, particularly ones which have listed them in bulk - the ones I bought from ebay were never received and I had to put in a claim with ebay after not hearing any communication from the seller. He originally had 3 of each listed for sale. I got back my money within 24 hours of my claim and have ended up getting them from a seller in Singapore instead for an extra $10 shipped. :mad:

Yeah they're pretty damn rare, oddly nowhere near as popular as the Headmasters though. Always used to go for $100-$120 each, although might be more now in light of what you said about those cassettes. I know a few people who've bought Dino Cassettes loose/complete for under $200 each, if anyone's paid a grand for them in that state they need their head examined.

Also love that guy's self-asked question, I never did bother to read his response to my rant. Maybe I should. I especially like the "kiddies can't afford it" bit - yeah, I 'aint that old, but I do have about 100 packaged G1s, Microchange Megatron, Perceptor, Bumblebees, Diaclone Insecticons.. 3 Overlords.. all bought with money I earnt myself, I might add. There's no way anyone is going to pay anywhere near that Buy It Now price. IMO, with the dollar how it has been up until just recently, 100 each is a VERY good price for the exclusive 4, meaning that you're paying about A$35 each for Starscream and Ramjet which is also quite respectable. I actually think it's a good deal for someone that needs the 4 exclusives.

I think they have gone some way toward stopping that. I was selling a pile of comics which would have cost me around $10 to send because of the weight.
I tried to put $10 as the shipping but the system wouldn't allow it.
Ebay system said some crap about getting more bidders with lower shipping and the maximum it would allow me to put in the postage cost for the comics category was $5.

It may be hard to find, but i don't think it's any better then the hasbro version, i've had both and sold the takara version. rarity isn't worth paying that much for a figure you can get for $50 from the local kmart, target, whatever .

Only it's not vastly superior - it's exactly the same toy as the Energon version with slightly different colours and as Fatbot says, physically it's exactly the same toy that's on shelves right now for $50. And it's not even a good toy to start with. Paying $220 for it would be loony. Plus it's a sad state of affairs these days if slightly different paint apps make something an exclusive. What happened to Japanese exclusives actually being exclusive, like Metalhawk, Mach Kick or Autrooper.

That is nice. I didn't know he came with earphones. Does that Soundwave play music? I don't see how since the mold doesn't have the space to house the components.
