I happened to be in Endeavour Hills yesterday and the Big W had the G1 remastered dvd box on sale at $78 so I nabbed it, JB still had it at 99 I think. It was the only one I could see and I don't know if it is a state sale on box sets or anything but might be worth checking out if you still need it :)

nice! I live in Oakleigh but am shuffling between places as my parents are renovating, it's usually about 30 minutes depending on traffic and where I'm coming from.

I was tempted as I do like the look of some of those figures, but I know you can get them a bit cheaper online so I passed.

That box is pretty much twice the size that the Takara version comes in, i dont know what Hasbro has against trees. And further more you can still get Takaras Prowl for between $70-100 and they've got him at $100 retail, ridiculous... On a side note however, Hasbros Grimlock is going to be the cheapest reissue yet at only $130

Slug was exactly the same, while Strafe looks to be different in the photos I've seen (I'm still yet to get one)... so maybe look for review photos online and see if anything stands out.
At the very least, this one is out before the regular release, and it will be cheaper with a bonus Minicon, making it worthwhile if you were planning to get that mould.

Lol, just went passed there earlier today, forgot how good the place is. They have a few MP's (all over $200), Cybertron Primus for $189, Metroplex for $179.00 & YOTS Omega Supreme for $189. Worth the trip for anyone who is interested. On a side note, TRU Knox has 2 Metroplex's on the top shelf. I did not enquire about MP Prowl as I am not collecting them.

The cover is in the red/orange part of the spectrum, and is of Action Master Optimus Prime from #80. The comics themselves are great - I lost my copy of #6 years ago moving house, so it's fantastic to finally have a minty replacement. The last comic page of each issue is an intriguing montage of characters from various media and toys (including 1989 Legends Starscream and G2 Jazz), and the back covers are a messy montage of various Marvel covers. The superdeformed figurines are cute - overall it's a great deal for $24.

I don't know what those superdeformed figures that come with collectors cards are called, but it's the little G1 Megatron and G1 Optimus from that line that come with the comics.

Yeah spoke to the gentleman once. Said he gets the new stuff quick and cheap through a Mattel connection in the states. Really good prices for the stuff we can't get here (I got Generations Rattrap for $25 and the Voyagers are mostly $35-40). Said they're planning to get a website up soon.

Went to the boronia store today, picked up a jetwing optimus for $119, much better than the $300+ they're going for on eBay. Not sure if they have any more, they've got some robot master stuff as well as masterpiece figs, and heaps of movie stuff. The owner told me they're open sat 10:30 to 2pm. Closed Monday, open Tuesday 11:30 till 4pm, not sure about other days. It seems very informal so is take those times with a grain of salt.

Also, if anyone sees the Remastered G1 DVDs, the first season in particular, I'm on the lookout for it. Chadstone only had one copy in not great condition.

There's no street date, they should be available for sale immediately.

nope there is nothing bad about the toy at all, this is my first MP Variation of Grimlock and to me he seems great and such. Sometimes there can be problems with loose joints or maybe scratch marks on the plastics which i have found on some of the reviews that i have watched. However mine has nothing at all. The box was a little bit scratched though but thats about it.
Yeah she really sounded like she was not in the mood to help at all. I havent had a good chance at playing it much but just checked to see if everything is there as im correcting assignments. The box when i picked it up is very light and it made me think if the toy was actually in there :P
The guy said if they are out, then he will be putting it in the glass cabnet you spoke off last time about the Prowls. if you dont see them there then check the shelf and off course ask someone that is not that lazy one. haha

From my experience, TRU Australia never do second shipments of limited releases like this so if you want one then try very hard to get it the first few days otherwise be prepared to pay huge markups on ebay.

And they will be getting a second shipment, unlike Soundwave which only ever had one drop listed from the get go.
If you have a close look at the shipping boxes:
The Grimlock shipping box pictured is box 75 of 220, which tells me that out of the 900 units they have on order in total, we have received 440 in the first drop. Same with the Sunstorm, it's box 137 of 150, which leaves another 150 boxes, or 300 units for the second drop.

Plenty Prowls and Sunstorms at TRU Frankston.
Got the only Slog and Drift (I did however put them on hold on Monday though, so I'm not sure if they got anymore), there was one lone Galvatron and a tonne of EM OP and Grimlocks. Not bad for $35.
About 10 Evolution Bumblebee and all of the wave 1/2 deluxes.
All the other catalogue stuff was there and the section looked pretty full.

Saw a guy buying a MP Grimlock and Prowl at TRU Doncaster close to 9PM today. Asked him if he got that off the shelf as there wasn't any there. He said he called up the store in the arvo today and got one put aside for him. Grimlock MP Update.

Knox TRU had 4 units, but they were gone by Monday just gone.

Frankston TRU - out of stock, may get some units in mid October, but nothing official on order

Chadstone TRU - I rang Chadstone yesterday they said they have 8 units on the system and haven't sold any recently, so still on their palettes. Rang this afternoon some very unhelpful person told me they were sold out within an hour and won't get any in, when i informed her that i was told 8 unit were on their system yesterday, she told me to call back tomorrow as they are still unloading bout 20 palettes.

Doncaster TRU - Have no stock and more than likely won't be getting any

Got my MP Sunstorm from TRU Chaddy today.

They have a 20% off full priced item for the VIP shopping night.

Sunstrorm comes down to $104 with a bonus Hero Mashers Transformers Electronic Grimlock because of the bonus figure for over $75 spent promo (was supposed to be a Beast Hunters Predacon Abominus but they didn't have any stock). 20% off a MP and a bonus figure, I'm can't really complain.

There isn't much on the shelf so you have to ask them for the Sunstorm at the counter which they should have a few left and make sure you mention the bonus figure as well. :)
