Euro/Aus issue "G1.5" Constructicons didnt have acc's to make Devastator, some figures didn't even have the ability to do it. I reckon if you can get this set for around $10 per figure MISB you are doing alright.

The G1.5 Constructicons were easy to find as MOSC sets a few years back out of Malaysia or it might have been the Philippines, from memory they went for around $50ish for the set... seemed like there must have been a decent sized case find...

it's not cheap, but with shipping it's reasonable and being from Taiwan, theres little chance that it's the re-release version without red doors, espceially since the pictures have the red doors, if it doesn't I'll be taking it up with the seller. I will confirm when I get mine.

You get a handful of wealthy fans who pay more than they should on certain figures without holding out for a cheaper option, and everyone else who has one suddenly won't sell for less.... leaving the rest of us on ordinary wages with toys that are now out of our reach.
And then you have toy dealers working together in various Asian countries to prevent any cheap figures from getting out - according to what one toy dealer told me in Singapore (they keep an eye out for any private sales of cheap toys, get someone on the network to get to it first, and then price it at their store at the inflated rate).

Which was my point above... toy investors (who can't be be called fans) will stick to prices that only 1% of us fans can afford, and sit on them for years, because they think they are losing money if they sell for less than what another dealer sold theirs for.
The other 99% of us have to then fight over the occasional item that shows up by a real fan who will list it at a reasonable price or auction it off (they bought it years ago at retail or cheap, and aren't greedy or don't care about how much extra they make from it because they will still make a huge profit anyway).
Ebay pretty much prevents any of these obscure figures from showing up at flea markets or smaller websites, as a lucky find for less than these over-inflated prices.

If anyone is still looking for a First Edition Voyager Prime, I have just purchased this one (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150926060292?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649) a few days ago.

it's not cheap, but with shipping it's reasonable and being from Taiwan, theres little chance that it's the re-release version without red doors, espceially since the pictures have the red doors, if it doesn't I'll be taking it up with the seller. I will confirm when I get mine.
I did expect the price to go down as the american release flooded eBay but it doesn't seem to be making much difference.

Just in case anyone was waiting to hear about this, it's the new version with the brown sides. :(
I've contacted the seller and mentioned that it's not as advertised, he has offered either a $5 discount or to take it back and refund cost plus shipping.

I'll probably keep it to avoid hassle of trying to find one of the first release first editions with the red sides at a price I'm willing to pay. need to think about it a bit though.

Yeah, I got both (Wave 0 and Wave 1). One I bought as a sealed case from BBTS (for under US$100), and the other I was able to get without question at the store (in the way I described above). If someone really wanted one, they could get one for free from a retailer. And if they weren't released where they live, they were sold as full-case sets by online stores for under US$100 at BBTS and Hasbro, giving you 32 Kreons with it. BBTS still has the case of 32 in stock for US$74.
