A mate of mine found one at Liverpool TRU back on Boxing Day. His wife called every TRU in Sydney until she finally found one for him and asked them to hold it. I would strongly recommend doing the same, and failing that, contact TRU head office and get them to source one for you.

Myer at parramatta have a few FE AOE Optimus Prime and takara Gaia Unicron and AM Optimus Prime set if anyone is interested. I picked up only the Unicron set at 71.10 after using the 10% discount for myer one members on top of the $79 discounted price. I can't convince myself to buy the FE AOE Prime. It's $69 if anyone is looking for it.

Just spotted First Edition AOE Optimus Prime at Target $99. While at BigW I came across what seemed to be a shelf stackers catalogue for BigW starting 10/4 First Edition AOE Prime was listed at $68 didn't see any other transformers listed.

Welp, Target Glendale had plenty of BH Predakings and a few Prime Weaponizers with the ensemble of FoC Soundwaves. Assortment of BH and FoC Deluxes, nothing noteworthy (perhaps a BH Dreadwing). And a select number of Platinum Ultra Magnus and AoE Optimus.
Kmart Glendale had bugger all. Few Blitzwing bots, those Optimus Rescue Bots thingies, few Predakings, 2x BH Soundwaves and the first wave of BH Commanders. Daz it.

Hey guys, Dropped into the Target at Westfield Warrawong (Wollongong N.S.W.) and they have a heap of first wave AOE figures.

From memory they have, FE Leader prime, Flip and change Grimlock, One step Grimlock, Drift and Prime, Power punch Bee and Crosshairs, Deluxe Crosshairs, Slug and Scorn, Quick draw Hound, Smash and change Prime, Spin attack Straife and High octane Bee.

i honestly think these should fall in the $15-$16 dollar price bracket hell they should really be under ten they look that nasty but even then at $15 the Ninja Turtle Figures are better value....

$22 is too close to the duluxe pricing for value/playability comparisons

the robot replicas were pretty solid as well though so there may have been a lot more material in them for the same apparent external volume.

so true, the packaging is very consistant across the entire range, making it hard to pick out the complex collector oriented figures from the simpler child oriented figures, or vice versa.

Target Macquarie had several different varieties, all on the shelf together, they were very hard to tell apart.

I went to Target Carlingford this morning (a minor detour while on the way to drop off my daughter at Sat. school) and managed to get the Deluxes. :) Although my Slug has a dodgy arm, so I might call Blacktown Target first and see if they have the toy -- save me the drive to Carlo to get a replacement.

I called Blacktown Target this morning and they said that they didn't have any new AoE stuff in. I went to Carlo Target to exchange Slug -- the only non-kiddie AoE toy (other than FE Leader OP) was 1 lone Deluxe Crosshairs. The others had all sold out! :eek:

And to save anyone the effort, I also checked out Chatswood Target and they have nothing new. Although Chatswood Target still has Platinum Edition Ultra Magni shelfwarming there, and their TRU have Generations Metroplex and even a FoC Starscream! (all full price)

Target in Wetherill park got in One step changers, Flip and Change and some Deluxes. They had 2 Bees and a Crosshairs left, I picked up the only Scorn and there was no Slug when I got there. Crosshairs looked sweet but I think I'll stick with the Takara one.

Yeah, I'd expect the TakaraTOMY version of Crosshairs to be a notable improvement over the Hasbro one. The mould has some nice elements which desperately need some additional paint apps to highlight them, but most importantly is that the toy is a mix of a lot of transparent and non-transparent plastic... and Hasbro is notoriously BAD and matching colours between those two kinds of plastic (e.g. Universe Sunstreaker, Animated Deluxe Bumblebee etc.), whereas TakaraTOMY tend to do a better job (e.g. Henkei Sunstreaker).

As for the figures, they weren't anything special & i thought that they looked smaller than their DoTM counterparts. Seems like Hasbro/TT are trimming the fat from the packaging right through to the figures & accessories again

Saw 4 of the deluxes, Scorn, Slug, Bee and Crosshairs and along with lots of the 1 step changers (grimlock, optimus prime, drift), power punch attack figures (strafe, bumblebee, hound, crosshairs) and the bigger simpler Grimlock and Optimus Prime figure. Deluxes were scarce. I picked all 4 deluxes ($30 each), and now there is only a single crosshair and bumblebee left. Regreted on bumblebee as he is small and feels cheap with the light plastic and simpler paint. Vehicle mode is good though. Will leave him that way. Crosshairs is good in size and i can display him with other deluxe and voyager figures. Scorn and slug is small as well for deluxe, but i love Scorn alot. I will leave them in their dino mode and display them with my cyberverse/legends collections. Hunting for my main aim, Voyager evasion prime now. Will get voyager grimlock just to complete the dinobots cast.

While getting the car serviced I decided to swing by Westfield Hurstville and take a look.

KMart: Lots of new AoE Generations figures. Hound, Scorn, Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Slug and that whirly-spinny Strafe I didn't want to pay $29 for. I didn't notice any voyagers.

Target: Nothing new. A fair few BH Lazerbacks and Constructbots I didn't pay attention to.

TRU: So much old stock, botshots leader class BH Primes and Predkings.

Welp. Target Glendale and Kmart Glendale have nothing yet. Kmart has a big space obviouslyu for them, right besides the whole bunch of Rescue Bots OP sets. Target has the same old shittonne of Predakings, few FE Primes, few BH and FoC deluxes and Platinum Magnus'.

As of yesterday, Big W Jesmond was minimalisitic. Lots of FE Primes, lots of Construct Bots and the BH playsets.

Totally agree. This is going to catch a lot of people out when they think they are buying a normal deluxe and it's not. Perhaps a different coloured packaging for each line.

Blacktown has lots their uncle Petes store next to JBhifi, with a rug shop taking its place.

There is now a little privately owned toy store down near Coles that had some AoE deluxes in their window but no prices. Store looks to mostly be for battery powered children's ride on vehicles and the ilk.

Blacktown target had all the figures that others have mentioned, but only a few deluxes left. Looked like all the voyagers, flip changers and titans had not sold a single figure.

Also must say that the toy dept of the store is horrible, the place was ramshackle and poorly layed out, with toys just shoved anywhere and not by the looks of it, the customers but the actual staff.

there was an piece in a paper 6 months or so ago saying toys r us are shutting the doors on two or three of the shopping centre based stores as they dont make and money

and from what i have heared through a couple of grapevines liverpool has been running at a loss for a couple of years...

That would be the 3rd or 4th one to close in the space of a couple years.
(Mackay, Gold Coast, Liverpool, and did one close in Perth?)

From what I know, they aren't closing fully but are vacating the ground level of the store to another major retailer and downsizing to the upstairs section only.

Yep, I was amazed that they had DOTM figures out too but if the layers of dust on top of the Voyagers and Deluxes are any indicator, they've been sitting in the back-dock for a LONG time! :eek:

Sorry to rain on your parade too lads, those DOTM Voyagers were tagged & scanned at $40! :eek: - If it's any consolation though, the Deluxes were only $10 :o - Buggered if I know what they were asking for the Leaders however, my eyes & brain have become accustomed to completely parsing over movie Bumblebees. :D

Interesting... that's a lot more licensed merchandise than I was expecting to see in this country, including those two track sets, that I seriously didn't think we'd see here.
The sword looks nice, but I wonder why Hasbro didn't do the roleplay toys this time, as the first three movies had guns, swords and helmets.

popped into bigw narellan today. nothing new, just a bunch of wave 1 deluxes. and oddly enough, a couple of ROTF battle ops bumblebees.

this is like the 3rd store ive been in where it looks as if the tf section has been completely untouched. either they are flying off shelves and they are restocking quick or they are just not moving at all.

makes me wonder, once wave 2 is suppose to come around, are stores going to be very reluctant to get as much stock as they did for wave 1

does anyone know when wave 2 is suppose to arrive in full swing anyhow?

a staff member at target did say they'd be getting new stock once the toy sale kicks off soon.

the big w staff said that they wouldn't get more stock until their current stock got down to a lower level....

Saw a Beast Hunters Prime DVD with exclusive toy $20 at BigW Coffs Harbour. No idea what the Toy looks like since I couldn't find a picture on the box. The DVD is from Madman and has the first 4 episodes of Season 3 on it. Didn't have a camera to take a picture.

It is supposed to have a Commander class Beast Hunters figure with it (according to an advertisement I've seen that showed Shockwave... so shouldn't be the 2014 ones we missed).
It is exclusive to BigW, and is pretty good value if you don't have the toy yet, as the toy alone is about $16 here... making the DVD just $4.

Toys R Us Kotara had the same stuff. With rare stock such as FoC Ultra Magnus, Starscream and Kick Back along with various BH Deluxes (Ratchet is all I can remember) and Cyberverse (Huffer etc)
