Admittedly Kmart Shellharbour is usually quite on top of things and is my preferred Kmart store out of the 3 in my local vicinity. :)
Target Shellharbour though is usually only one step above TRU Wollogong and Uncle Petes when it comes to usefulness, the only really significant thing I've bought there was MP-04. :o

I guess I just wish my local outlets were as up-to-date as most Sydney stores seem to be. :o

Big w had nothing. Target had RTS voyagers- 1 Lugnut and 1 Strafe! Didn't pick em up. There was also 1 Banzaitron which was a rare treat.

- Uncle Pete's Toys had some voyager animated at $29.95 was gona buy shockwave but then thought nah even though its cheaper don't really think he's that great.
- Toys R Us heaps of deluxes. There was a HA Jazz there too. Thought they were all gone but now i've seen them at two stores.

For Warringah:
- Uncle Pete's had nothing of note.
- Didn't check out any of the other stores there.

Wow! They have imported Japanese Galaxy Force toys! :o I mean, the toys themselves aren't much different from their Hasbro counterparts and Inch Up (Dirt Boss) isn't a terribly spectacular toy - although First Aid (Red Alert) is really nice - but I'm just surprised to see these figures in a regular retail store and not a specialist import shop.

Just out of interest, how much are they? If they're a decent price, I'd definitely recommend getting First Aid if you don't already have Cybertron Red Alert. It's a nice figure. :)

Just came back from Kmart Burwood. Walking to Kmart - I spotted a transfan with a yellow box deluxe RTS in his bag. I almost ran to the shelves to see nothing... but upon almost leaving disappointed- a whole row of end peg filled with wave 2 RTS. I picked up 2 perceptors- one for myself, one for my brother in law. There were still 2 perceptors- looked like 5-6 cases of the wave. Still plenty of wreckgar, a few g2 primes and bbees.

Sweet FA. Target has had TF relegated to the tiniest shelf space I have ever seen, Big Whoop has exactly that (though if you are still after old Robot Heroes, they have a few) Myer has bugger all. DIdn't check Kmart coz it was too damn hot to walk over there. And Toys R Us didn't even bother checking.

I did see a whole stack of Cliffjumpers, Darkmounts and Ravages though.

Edit: So I picked up Thunderwing tonight and much to my surprise they now have Reveal the Shield Wave 2 at Kmart Nepean, they must of only just got the stock in because they definitely did not have it last night. I saw both Optimus and Perceptor, was very tempted to pick up Perceptor but Thunderwing took priority!

Typically Hasbro contacts a reseller and offers them a good deal. This seemed to be the case last year when Target similarly got a lot of old Animated Voyagers, but Target had numerous sales selling them at $19.99. Myer obviously hasn't reached this point, but let's hope they do. Although by now, most Animated fans have found alternative ways of acquiring these toys by now. Hopefully, this will attract some new Animated fans :)

Also spotted the RTS Battle In Space Rodimus Vs Cyclonus 2-pack for $49-something. They look really nice and I would've picked one up if I didn't already have Classics Rodimus and Universe Cyclonus. The die-cast Matrix looks the same as the one that came with New Year Convoy, which I already have (and I have the gold chrome and green chromed versions as well, so I don't need a fourth one, especially when it looks the same as the first version).

But I think for anyone who doesn't have these figures and/or the die-cast Matrix, it's a good set. For anyone who may not know, the die-cast Matrix is compatible with 1984 G1 Optimus Prime -- it's designed to fit and clip inside his chest. :) Don't know if it comes with a chain for the Matrix (couldn't see it, but it could be packaged inside)

Any chance someone could find me a RTS Lugnut. Been checking 3 K-Marts and two Targets every few days for a month and still nothing. But Wreck-Gar wave is easy to find.

In the case of Kinokuniya, as direct imports they would have been slapped with a truckload of import duties, taxes, levies etc. which jacks the prices up. That's why a lot of import stores are so expensive.

Ghost Starscream shouldn't have been an import though -- that would have been distributed by Hasbro Australia and thus exempt from the kinds of tax stuff that importers have to pay. I can't think of any good reason for TRU to charge such a ridiculous price for Ghost Starscream. After all, Hasbro AU previously distributed Masterpiece Ultra Magnus and MP Convoy w/ trailer to Target who sold them at reasonable prices.

And it's not the first time we've seen TRU do this. They'll happily let expensive toys shelf warm for years. Look at how long Supreme Cheetor self warmed for (although that wasn't necessarily "overpriced" they sure didn't bother marking it down after ages of shelfwarming). Then there was G1 coloured movie Jazz... what a rip. TRU seem to have a habit of overcharging for exclusive toys.

Just been to Rhodes Target. Picked up 2 BIS packs, RTS Legends Megs, Trailbreaker and Prowl.

There were 5 BIS packs left (could have bought another but won't be greedy/scalperish) and plethora of RTS legends including megs, prowl, trailbreaker and also all painted head starscreams.

they also have a Ultimate class Devastator on clearance for about $50 but it's been opened and "ravaged" by at least one wild child, looking at teh box I couldn't even tell if it was all still there. they also have a Battle ops BB in similar condition and a voyager Ratchet.

Bought Tracks, Jazz, Wreckgar, Prime, Perceptor X 2 at Target yesterday for me and a friend. Heaps more there at East Gardens espeically bumblebee. And the good thing its only $22.88 each. Quickly refund the stuffs I bought from Kmart, which was kept in the boot, save about 90cents.

for the bumble bee since its a repaint, I think many skip buying it.... but it will suit the kids

Target: 3x RTS bumblebee- those were the only tfs I saw there.
Kmart: Not much- loads of HFTD and RTS scouts (Windchargers all gone though). Also plenty of Generations including Skullgrin, Dirge, Straxus, Red Alerts.

MY god.... haven't been to TRU for ages because they're overpriced and no good stock. Guess what I found out today?

-Counted about 30 ROTF Supreme Devs. :eek: $150 a pop. Nice one TRU- I cant imagine how long they will shelfwarm.
-Legends pack of Green ROTF Devs- plenty there- didn't look at the price.
-ROTF Leader Optimii- atleast 15. $100 a pop.
-Quite a few Masterpiece Ghost Starscream. $250.

And they actually have a shelf space cleared next to these- probably for DOTM stuff. Not even going to bother with TRU now.

Went to Shellharbour Square today and had a look around. I was reminded of the Nursery Rhyme:

Man I walked into Target and walked to the toys section and saw some guys bunching up in a particular section, so i look and BOOM DOTM TOYS!!!! I grabbed SP and Roadbuster straight away. shame I didn't have more money on me. It seems that most stores must have the DOTM toys in because i have noticed that stores in Westfield Liverpool, Westfield Parra and my local Big W have created space's in the action figure section.

Went to Target Parra at 10:30 this morning -- all the Sentinel Primes were gone!! Lots of OPs, Megatrons, Ironhides, and Deluxe Ratchet, Skids, Bumblebee and 1 Crankcase and 1 Starscream. I asked a staff member about Sentinel Prime and he went and checked the back room for me and got me one! :) Not sure if that was the last one back there or if there are more, but if anyone happens to be going there today feel free to ask if there are any more in the back room if there are none on shelves.

Didn't see any Autobot Ark playsets though :( Lots of that Bumblebee one though.

I'd say that's because the DOTM toys aren't meant to be out until May 16. When I went to Target Parramatta on Friday, they had NO Transformer toys and no space cleared for them. Then when fatbot went yesterday, they were out when I went this morning. No end cap, no price tags on shelves (although they did scan)... it seems that some stores are prematurely breaking the embargo date, but perhaps not setting up the fancy displays/end caps yet so as not to attract immediate attention from Hasbro store reps ??? <shrugs>

Cos Target Blacktown told me that they have the toys in as well as displays for the toys, but they're not going to shelve them until the May 16 embargo date (can't blame them for doing the right thing really).

Went back to my local Big W in cairns hill Liverpool. I picked up a Dotm deluxe Bumblebee for $23.00. Big W is much cheaper than Target.
I payed $28.00 for Dotm Roadbuster at Target.

Big W penrith has DOTM wave 1 in all it's glory! :D

They had 6 leaders including 2 Sentinel Primes 1 Ironhide and 3 BBs each $88

Voyagers they had 2 Megs (of which one I bought) couple Ironhides and the rest of Optimus Primes each $48.87

Deluxes they had a gazillion BBs (which were all faced to the front... Had to dig deep to get the good stuff!) and 2 or 3 each of Starscream, Ratchet, Skids and Roadbuster but only 1 Crankcase (which I promptly snapped up!) for $23.72 each.

They had all the Cyberverse stuff with lots of BB sets but only 2 Starscream ones, I didn't really pay attention to the prices though I was too enthralled by the other stuff lol

big cairns hill did have alot of stuff. nabbed a sentinal prime, leader bb, delux bb, the green racecar, voyager ironhide, megatron and crankcase.

i was there yesterday, they have 2 or 3 more sentinals, tons of lead bees, a deluxe ratchet, but i think i picked up the last of the others.

Went into Kmart Penrith tonight and they have all their DOTM stuff up... Pretty disappointed with their pricing, they have DOTM deluxes for $29 right next to their Generations ones which are only $25, it's kinda embarassing really how they are trying to milk us so blatantly. And Cyberverse Scouts Commanders for $20? Gimme a break, think I'll stick with Big W.

Oddly enough Kmart had no Cyberverse play sets but had Human Alliance stuff, while Big W had the opposite: Cyberverse stuff but no HA.

Toyworld has stocked DOTM toys. Lots of bumblebee, starscream and Skids deluxe, voyager Optimus Prime (they had Megatron but, um, yeah) cyberverse starscream and bumblebee sets, Leader Bumblebee etc. Also legends, scouts.

Went to Fairfield today
kmart had Only 6 DOTM leaders out today. 3 Bee and 3 Sentinal. No sign of any other DOTM stuff. $89.00

Eastgardens has nothing except a single Generations Thundercracker at K-Mart, and a DOTM Cyberverse Optimus Prime on an otherwise bare set of Target Transformers shelves (I think they must have put everything out and then put it all away again, and he was accidentally left over.) This embargo is silly.

convinced my manager to put out our DOTM stock today ( target miranda) target stores have broken embargo because our stock take starts soon. We got prety much everything in stock except for the ark.

Target Blacktown put out their DotM stock today. I saw the cases still loaded on the cart -- all clearly labelled with "Do not place on shelf before May 16, 2011" ... lawl. First time I'd seen Commander Class Blackout, Powerglide and Sentinel Prime too. Sentinel Prime looks nice, but at $18 a pop I just grabbed Powerglide.
