Wave 3 Legends found at Big W Newcastle West. Seen was 2x Kickback, 1x Bumblebee and 2x Gnaw, buuuut those Gnaw's didn't survive long.
Other places around Newcastle haven't stocked up at all. No signs of Wave 3 TR deluxes reappearing. Fruiticus sold out at Waratah, Kotara and Glendale KMarts.

Looks like the post-xmas stock has come in.

Kmart Kotara has Wave 2 TR deluxes amongst usual stuff.
Target Kotara stocked up on TR wave 3. Both Triggerhappies disappeared. Hot Rods, Twinferno still left. Combiner Force dual packs (pants-shirt combo) stocked up. Plenty of the CF one steps and Legions, and few CW Skywarps.
TRU Kotara had nothin'. Shock horror.

Charlestown Big W had the Gnaw wave. Only Bumblebees and a Kickback remain. Big CF RiD Optimus and Bumblebee showed up. Fort Max still on 174. PLENTY of Alpha Trion and Astrotrain not even funny. Still those $5 movie 3 legends.
Charlestown Myer had nada. Fort Max still full price. Onslaughts and Blasters and PMOPs.
Charlestown Target mustve brought in the CF one steps but all that remains is Springload and Quillfire, and legions, and CW Skywarps (lol)

Target: 3 CW (leader) Skywarps. 5 TR Twinferno. a TR Hotrod. wave 2 Titan Masters. RiD legions, I saw multiples of Optimus, Grimlock, Springload and Starscream. A number of TR Kickbacks, Gnaws and Bumblebees. One RiD warrior Power Surge Optimus Prime and one Quillfire in the Mini-Con Weaponizers packaging. I took Scorponok and the second Power Surge Optimus Prime, there was also a Windblade (maskless :eek:) last time I was there but someone must have beat me to it as it was gone, grr :p

Picked up Barricade and Decepticon Berserker from Big W Blacktown and saw the same in Wetherill Park Big W. You have to look on the bottom shelves as these are not on it the usual place for deluxes due to the new packaging.

2 really cool figures, would recommend if you are into the movie figures.

Wetherill park also had a repaint Grimlock and repaint Bumblebee left.

Don't the stores have a say in what case assortments they get? They've got lots of Triggerhappy and Twinferno from wave 3 still on shelves. Shouldn't they order the case with different characters (i.e. from wave 4) rather than a revision case containing characters they already have? Triggerhappy is great, but frankly; Twinferno is shelf-warming.

Forgive my ignorance, I've never worked in retail before myself. But I would've thought the toy departments would have a certain amount of discretion in what they order, rather than take what Hasbro pushes on them.

To them it's just another individual keycode (the different barcodes are all listed as one at a store level) that gets triggered for another case order among the thousands of others in store.

It also depends on what Hasbro have supplied to retailers. If Hasbro have ordered X amount of that particular Wave, then that's what stores will receive.

Of the wave 3 toys to reuse, I would have thought the other two (Chromedome and Hotrod) would make more sense to be restocked, as they usually disappear first... unless they are thinking Twinferno will sell later when the Movie dragons start being popular.
Even still, that will be a long time shelfwarming, limiting or preventing future restocking.

Most of the previous stuff (see quote below) is still there with some new additions.

BigW: RiD warriors are available, on the shelf when I left (around 1pm) was 3 Blurr and a Grimlock. Out the back were 1 each of Grimlock, Blurr and masked Windblade that I know of (as I asked so if they had more specifically to get the below, so dont hesitate to ask, you might get lucky).
There was also 1 Skywarp and 2 Soundwaves, but they came home with me sorry.
Also available: Movie Deluxes, multiples of Bumblebee, Barricade, Slash and Berserker.
Movie Legions wave 1.
RiD Combiner Force Activator Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Strongarm.

Target: They have a display just at the right of the entrance where most of the new stock is.

Was in Hurstville today, here are my sightings.

BigW: Very small TF section, mostly just the movie toys (same ones as everywhere else) and some TR deluxes but those were only wave 3, no sign of wave 4.
Kmart: Found a headless Quillfire. Well his head was in the packaging, but he does a good headless horseman impression lol. Other then that not much, a few movie toys and the same wave 3 TR Titan Masters and wave 3 deluxes that are everywhere.
Target: A bunch (I didnt count, maybe 8?) CW Leader Skywarps, more movie stuff again, a LOT of RiD legions (the wave with Springload, Starscream, Grimlock and OP) and RiD warriors with the mini con series packaging (no Windblade, sorry but the target Quillfire had his head firmly in place :p)

Also a sighting for the random robot pile, found these "deluxe" size KOs (upscaled from legions) in a little Asian store called Mini So that's near JB Hi Fi.

The (not) Bumblebee looks pretty bad, honestly not worth bothering about if you have the Generations Deluxe Cybertronian Bumblebee, but I've seen this upscale of CW Powerglide before and the quality is pretty good, so if you want a larger PG and dont mind KO's you know where to look

Give it a week, and the catalogue sale, and that would look very empty if they keep all of that space dedicated to Transformers (which they wont, as it would make the store look bad).

The paint detail on these figs look quite nice, which is probably where the added production costs are.

I think the excessive packaging is to give parents an inflated feeling of value (or reduced feeling of buyer's remorse) after paying $40 for a $25 fig.

Just picked up Skullitron from TRU Campbelltown for $29.99 because the $39.99 wasn't in their system.Went there today. They have unfortunately decided that even though these still arent in their system and the only prices on the shelves for this sized figure from this line is $29.99 to ignore that and just manually put in the $39.99 price tag at the register. It's on a list now. Technically not right as if it doesnt scan they should be giving them for the only price that exists for figures of that size and line. Either that or they shouldnt be on the shelves at all

Big W had the (standard) movie figures + RID + TR (namely Broadside) stuff on display. TR Deluxes down the aisle (Kup, Perceptor, Kork, Quake). Bigass Sqweeks seen too, didn't catch the price.

Kmart Waratah had Kup and Kork and Twinferno (lol) plus same old movie and RID stuff. Plenty of those movie deluxes :/

Picked up Voyager Hound and Megatron from Toys r Us Penrith, still heaps left if anyone is interested. I would highly recommend both figures!

Big W Penrith had a stack of those big Trypticon figures, and Myer had a bunch of Fortress Maxiums's by the elevator.

I stopped by Toymate Penrith on Sunday and noticed that they had the art vinyl transformers from a few years ago. Loyal subjects? series 1 and 2.

they were only $5. about as much as I think they were ever really worth. I picked up one of the series 1 figures in the hopes of getting hold of a Jazz. no luck.

Spotted a couple Leader Class Optimus Primes at TRU Campbelltown. Picked up Infernocus from TRU Cross Roads, they had a couple voyager Hounds in the aisles as well not the main display at the front. Still no leader Megatrons though :(

$70 (for this price, I would only recommend to completionists, the figure has some very loose ball joints and a few other things that just don't hold when pegged into place, other than that its a really nice looking figure, but don't expect to be able to do many epic poses, which is a shame because it really is a nice looking figure)

Saw it in person today, not a bad looking box set. I'd only be buying it along with theOptimus/Grimlock 2 pack to complete my Prime & TFPrime Beast Hunters Legions figures. There's 100 bones right there for 6 Legion and 1 Legends Class figures which really should only cost $68.
