Seriously, it looked like he'd been opened up, taken out, half-transformed without looking at the instructions, transformed back without bothering to get things aligned properly at various stages, jammed back into the plastic tray even though he's not quite the right shape anymore, and then shoved back into the box with as much force as needed, never mind that it's splitting the sides. And his chest fell off at some point, because of course it did.

Refl Refrac Refraktor comes in 2 per assortment so I wouldn't wait until you find all 3. If you find just 1 or 2 then count your lucky stars and grab them. It does make it frightfully frustrating to collect (took me quite some time to get all 3).

Just discovered another tampo removal hack: dry erase marker, demo starts at the 1.40 mark.

I think it works because most dry erase markers have xylene in them so it's recommended that you do this in a well ventilated area and wear gloves but it doesn't seem to damage the paint under the tampo.

Since wave 2 (Galaxy Upgrade Optimus) only seemed to show up in some Toyworlds, Astrotrain might be sporadic as well... but it is supposed to be released in the first wave of WFC-Earthrise, which might improve its chances here... but that won't be until March.

I was surprised as well, I usually drop by once a week cause its on the way to work (I seem to have more luck on Thursdays for some reason). They have all the current stuff on shelf, refraktor and cracker waves. I actually thought it was a Magus box at first, but I noticed something different and swung it round and to my shock it was Astrotrain, instant purchase.

Looking at him, he's at the 'Leader' price but he's actually shorter than Megatron. The extras seem to be the attachment that forms the coal car in train mode and launch platform in shuttle mode, and the 4 guns + missile pod which are great. Overall thought, he's a great figure, not hard to transform. Probably one of the best triple changers along with Springer that Hasbro have ever done at this price point. Lets hope for Earth Rise Blitzwing :)

From what I've seen the case seems to be 2x Spinister, 2x Crosshairs, 2x Swiper, 1x Cog & 1x Hound.

Two of each then... looks like both myself and Entertainment Earth's listing are wrong.

Both are fairly obscure characters in the original cartoon/comic universe (Crosshairs was in 3 episodes of the cartoon while Spinister was only in the Marvel comic and featured more prominently in the UK issues), so it could just be that Spinister is selling faster because it is a new mould.

I've always considered the whole package to be Ironworks, I guess kinda like how Combat Deck and Roller are part of Optimus Prime. Although yes, that is explicitly stated in canon whereas I guess I must've head canoned this as a kid and it's stuck. :p Whoopsie. :)

The website still lists them for $39, so maybe someone adjusted the price in the computers for the stores by accident. I don't recall BigW having spot sales of such huge discounts, so it is certainly something unusual.
