I got my SS Dropkick from Target Bondi Junction last week, but I didn't post a sighting as it was the last one and I didn't want to send people on a wild goose chase. No KSI Sentries there though.


If it is something new that hasn't been reported yet (or appeared on the first sightings topic, and/or our facebook oz-news page), it's okay to post about it, even if you bought the only one there... as it lets the rest of us who want one, to now know it is time to go out and start looking for it, and what retailer to try first.
If you are worried about people complaining about a "zero sighting", then word it as an alert to the rest of us, letting people know that a new toy is now being released in Australia, and "this is the retailer it was found at".

bIG w Macquarie has a tonne of deluxes (drift, steelbane, slug, and squeeks), there was one case of voyagers that are now either mine or in my hands for others. there are quite a lot of legends class (Grimlock, bumblebee, megatron and the 3 headed dragon) and a few one steps (cogman, scorn, drift and bumblebee) I grabbed a set of these for the kids to wear out.

Remember this time last year the same thing happened with Power of the Primes. Initially only found at small independents but then later on the majors eventually got them. In Sydney it was initially HobbyCo, King's Comics and Casey's Toys, but then afterwards it hit the majors. AFAIK none of the Sydney independents are stocking Siege atm but my guess is that they'll get them before the majors do.

Yeah, I'm personally skipping Siege OP for now, but I've handled him IRL a few times and I must admit that it is a damn good toy. I'd be tempted if I saw it on sale. :) The reason why I'm skipping it is because I already have half a shelf full of CHUG OPs. :p I'd be more convinced if they did a redeco as a new character. I skipped POTP OP but I got POTP Nemesis Prime. :)

You won't find wave 1 at the majors. Try independents like Hobbyco or Toymate, but more than likely you'll have to order online.

my guess is that Australia was 4 months late getting Siege from the start and wave 1 was already winding down, we are pretty much getting the leftovers.
Toymates and Caseys are still getting some mixed in with there wave 2 shipments. (saw deluxes at Tuggerah Toymate this week)

I gave up trying to find Optimus and Megatron in stores, gone the online route and picked up the remaining wave 1 mircos as well.

update: ordered Prime, Megz and mircos from BBTS on the 24/03/19, arrived today 09/04/19. not bad delivery time.

I'd say yes, there are often at least a few forum members there, often at least a couple good tables selling Transformers and 'indie' robots. There is often a thread and we've organised to catch up and have lunch at Panthers next door a couple times.

This weekend is Mothers day though, and if they think I'm going to leave my wife with the kids for more than half of mothers day and not go out with them to the park for a picnic or something similar, they are out of their minds.

I hope everyone that did go had a good time, they should have held it the weekend before or after.

That should be the Mega Mighties (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=603999&postcount=1095)... the replacement of those non-transforming "Epic" figures. It looks like the only Rescue Bots toys in BigW at the moment, and with just the Flip Racer Launchers showing up at Target, maybe the collapse of TRU (one of two national retailers stocking most RB toys - the other being Kmart), Hasbro Australia must be trying to get other Retailers to take anything they can afford or fit into their Transformers budget. With so many different Transformers lines running concurrently, it is harder to get Retailers in our small market to commit to all of them if they aren't a dedicated toy store like TRU. (Toyworld and Toymate have been taking on more RB since the collapse of TRU too, but Kmart and TRU used to be the only two reliable retailers for the RB toyline, which made it hard to get price competitiveness here)

The guy at Kmart North Rocks told me that they had, "Siege Brawl" in stock, which surprised the crap out of me so I asked him to chuck it on hold for me. Then after hanging up I realised that it must've been Studio Series Brawl, because ya know -- "Studio Series" and "Siege" look the same. Another staff member from a different Kmart read "Soundwave" as "Sandblast." Best of all, one staffer misread "Soundwave" as, wait for it, Optimus Prime. :rolleyes: #illiteracy

And there have been a few rare occasions in the past when a staffer has told me that they don't have a toy in stock, only for me to go to that store anyway and find the toy in stock. :rolleyes: Or more frustratingly, when they tell me that they toy is in stock but I rock up and it's not because the staff member went and confused it for something else (even when I ask them to hold the toy for me and it's a completely different toy). You should've either:
a/ Scanned Hound and asked him to match that item price, or...
b/ Show them Big W's online catalogue which shows Red Alert at $19 and ask for a price match

I actually showed Chromia as well but the staff said it is not the same barcode... have to come back after work to find a manager to actually sell it. Yeah i completely forgot the Big W Catalog that they have Hound in the photo there :)

Not sure if this is news to anyone, but Kings Comics in Sydney have Caliburst and Smashdown, the newest set of Siege Battlemasters. None of the new big boys unfortunately (although for some reason they've suddenly got enough Hounds to make an Iron Man suit for Cruella de Vil).

They did have the deluxes but have clearly sold out, they ere very expensive being a diamond select distributed product.

I called Kmart Hornsby this morning and they had 2 more Refraktors in stock but wouldn't hold them for me and they're gone now, so don't bother checking there if that's what you're looking for. I also called Kmart Top Ryde who had none in stock and Sylvania are sold out.

Found and bought the only Red Alert at Casey's Erina. Girl at the counter said they had the others but were sold earlier in the week.

only other things I found were Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee and Barricade at Big W for $129 each, they have 2 of each on shelf.

Did a search of the surrounding stores, nothing new of note at Kmart, Myer or Target. But the shelves are looking empty of most of wave 2 now, so wave 3 could be slowly on it way.
