I can fully understand the majors responding that way. There literally is no visibility as to what items you'll be getting off the back of the truck. Only info you get told is its 14 pallets of general merchandise and 8 pallets of apparel. That's it.
Yeah but in Japan I got that response from a regular department store, not a specialty store! It was either an Itoyokado or a Daimaru; I went in there one Thursday evening, saw some Transformers but nothing new. I asked this girl who was working there when they'd be getting new stock and she immediately answered, "This Sunday 12:00." So I went back there on Sunday, and sure enough there was a whole new stock of Transformers on the shelves, just as promised. :)

Goktimus, the infrastructure just isn't present in Australian retail. Department stores here think one person working across three counters is good customer service.

Besides after Myer's CEO Bernie Brooke's comments about the NDIS (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-02/myer-faces-backlash-over-ndis-comments/4664668) I don't think Aussie retail is forward thinking enough to get sales staff information on what's being delivered and when.

Stanhope Gardens Kmart had a couple of the data disks. Also 1 Airraid and Sideswipe for $19 and a Prime cliffjumper for $19 as well. Looks like the final clearance is on. Also selling the cyberslammers cheap, didn't bother looking at the price, just saw the yellow ticket.

No cheap Cyberverse figures in the toy section, or the clearance section (still full of the unsold Mums day rubbish).

Didn't realise that you were still after them, but I was at Kmart/Target Eastgardens on Saturday and came across a half-box of the wave with Bludgeon in it (was very tempted to Google up the codes for Bludgeon and get it on the spot). They also had 3 boxes of the following wave (methinks), and also the combiners (saw Predaking, Devastator and Bruticus).

The same store also had FOC Wave 3 sans Air Raid.

Sorry for the vague information, I was really glossing over them as its not my usual thing.

no, I had a good look though. given the size of the box, I'd be surprised if they were packed in cases of more than two so predaking might be an entirely seperate wave.

Since Predaking is a store exclusive in America, it is likely to be packed in its own cases, separate to Optimus.

Someone had better get a photo proof of it, or buy one and take some photos of it, so that the global fansites can once again be jealous of a toy we get before them. It happens so rarely, so we should make the most of it when we can. :p

the easiest option is to open an account on a site like photobucket, and insert links through there. it's fairly self explanatory once you have an account. if you have a smartphone, you can upload pics straight from it to photobucket.

There is a thread about this somewhere if you look for it, I'm not sure where it is, i might have time to search later tonight.

More often than not they're old or 'dead stock' that nobody ie major chains want anymore. They might even import them. Stores like the reject shop, toyworld and uncle pete's (which currently has the multilingual versions of DOTM Shockwave, Sentinal etc) would then bulk buy and sell them at discounted prices.

Couldn't find any new Kreo at any of those three stores. Only ones I found was about a dozen of the small Series 1 Bumblebees at TRU. I checked the Lego section of Target and TRU as well, but not Kmart... so if they are there, I missed them.

Some of the transformers generations were on clearances for $10 ( discs that goes with shock wave along with light purple disc holders
Was pretty pleased with the haul but still no huge Predaking and Optimus yet...
The Beast Hunter Wheeljack sure was a challenge by transforming into car mode.. took me ages..
I also noticed the instruction sheets for the figurines were not that clear to see properly any one experiencing the same problem with that?

Sometimes. Not like the old days where there were actual instructions alongside the photos. Granted they were simple, but they still assisted in a written manner.
The photos of the prototype/working model as opposed to a coloured rendition of the toy don't help either. Then there's the issue of missing steps in the transformation process...like not rotating Twinstrike's feet

Not necessarily. As I mentioned when this pre-pack unit was first sighted, it is a pre-pack display, NOT regular cases. So the next regular cases to stores could be any wave, including the Smokescreen wave. I saw these today and unfortunately they have stuck "security tape" (the one with the cloth strips and really sticky glue) on the tops and bottoms of the boxes is this common with other big w's? it kind of ruins the box as its not easy to take off and defeats the purpose of it being a collectables . I asked the staff if they had any untapped ones (and they didn't) and some of them were "disappointed" that the tape was stuck on and didn't think it was needed.

I know the one. Bugger that. I dont want sticky tape on my Omega.
I dont mind the black security cables they use, at least there's no residue with that, might get a few dents here and there, but it's a million times better than that crud.

I only had a quick look, but yes and I think there was also blackout and sentinel prime in there.

I saw that tonight, didn't have time to go in a browse unfortunately. Though I did go into Kmart and Target. Kmart still having Wave 1 of all BH Stuff with around 4 YOTS OP in the actual toy section, and at least 8 around the front area as you walk in on the right.

Target is being stupid again with their damn high prices. Grabbed Platinum Ultra Magnus, but was extremely tempted to get the FOC Soundwave that was above him, but they wanted $50 for him, so I went with Magnus instead for only $40. They are also on wave 1 of BH stuff as well. They did have a PR Samurai Gigazord set for $220 if anyone wants to complete their Samurai Zords

Uncle Pete's have had Rumble, Kup and the others, been a while though. Toymate look to be carrying the Triligual package versions of the 4 movie voyagers pictured.

Ive had no dramas finding parking, GP. I use either Hampden Rd or Coralie street, both of which are just around the corner. Not much in the way of TF's but still worth a visit :)
